this uniform is rediculous. i’m not saying this because i’m forced to wear it, i’m saying this because it’s gotten out of control. the uniform hasnt cut down on anything, such as teasing. rich kids still know what brands are expensive and what brands arent. kids still get made fun of. we go to a public school, not private school. if you step out into the public, you dont see people in dress code, you see people wearing whatever they want or whatever they can afford. it should be the same way for a public school. the superintendant had good intensions, but school uniforms were not the way to go. if the teachers and administration had inforced what we had in place before, we wouldnt be in this situation. what harm is flip flops doing?! we live in florida! NO ONE wears socks and shoes everyday! it’s common knowledge that the more you tell teenagers what to do and force them into something, the more they tend to reject it. i am a good student, never in trouble, and i make good grades. i keep a 3.0 or higher GPA. but in the last year, ive been written up and sent out of class numerous times. weather it be because i had a jacket that had a hood, or my shirt was untucked, or whatever. ive never been one to get in trouble, but as soon as we got this uniform, i cant seem to stay out of it.

I support this petition. The uniforms are actually very hard to find, I had to go all the way into Panama City across the bridge, then spend an hour trying to find the right store, and they only had one color that I could wear! Well it was either that or buy a 30$ one from hollister, which is just outrageous! Furthermore the uniforms are very uncomfortable and distract me a lot!

I'm 19 years of age, and out of school, seeing how teenagers dress these days is disgusting. Another thing that I DO AGREE with, there are so many "clicks" in school systems these days with how people look, meaning the way they dress, the way their hair looks. Meaning name brand clothes, Hollister, Abercrombie, Pac Sun, Aeropostale, American Eagle, Nike, Limited Too, Justice, Gymborie, etc. NOT everydboy can afford these clothes; most judgement is based on the way people look these days more than what kind of person they really are, which is PATHETIC! Give the ones a chance who don't always get a chance to show who they really are insted of them getting looked at as downbeats. So dress code could break these "clicks" up, and maybe give some kids a little respect on who they really are, and not that they look like.

I do and I do not support this petition. I think its highly discusting how guys leave there boxers/butt hanging out of their pants, and girls leave their "girls" hanging out of there shirts. At the same time, not all families can afford buying uniforms for there kids, meaning what are they supposed to do? I can see the dress code going to an extent, but not to the point were a public school system is looking ilke their dressing there students like a private school would. Tucking shirts in and wearing a belt everyday is reasonable, but not having to go out and buy certain colors for the school, new pants, new shoes, etc. It's not fair to those who can't afford it, meaning they'll be the ones more likley to get introuble for not following rules. Not everybody will follow rules, there some hardheads out there that don't take things seriously that get themselves in a whole they can't get themselves out of. Again, I disagree with this petition, but then again I do agree with it seeing how most teenagers dress these days!

I don't think the dress code it good at all, it doesn't fit well in with some families, plus the last and only time that dress code worked though a region of the world was in Nazi Germany before the Holocaust.

I DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PETITION!!! I'm 21, I moved to Bay county about a year ago and was disgusted at the way teenage girls were dressed. Males wore pants down to thier knees. Since the new uniform policy was put into action, i've seen a dramatic difference in the appearence of teenagers. There will be a huge impact on the quality of students Bay county produces in the next few years with the uniforms. Next, they should do more about the drug epidemic among Bay county teens.

dress code uniform is the straight up lamest thing, instead of gettin stuff i would wear all the time, i gotta blow all the money on the stupid uniforms. the only thing they succeded in with the uniform is getting like ten times more people written up for it than there were before from what ive seen. c'mon people, if you want to help kids do better in school, how about NOT suspending them from it for an untucked shirt, does that make a bit more sense or what? and 477 is totaly right about the money thing, the little move they pull with the "wear whatever shirt u want for 2 dollars" is messed up bigtime, yeah like im gonna pay to wear my own clothes

I support this petition.however not for the same reasons i believe that flip flops have no bussiness in schools because of foot fungus and also getting your feet stepped on moving class to class. however the strict polocy of the 3 colored polo shirt is ridiculous at least just say any color polo shirt or and solid plain polo or t shirt that way if a family has to move inside the district they still have appropriate school colors whereever they go. i believe in my whole heart fashion is not what is ruining our schools i believe that the rules were fine before and parents shouldn't send their daughters to school wearing practically no top and short shorts but that was in the rule before...my son did not have anything school aproved before the new policy he wears cargo pockets and t shirts whats so dangerous about cargo pocket? hes 5 he's not bringing a gun to school in his pants pocket. the expense alone of trying to afford these uniforms is ridiculous and the school will not recieve a dime from me for purchasing a school spirit tshirt. i believe thats why they are doing this to make some $ because they don't want to cut money from football. if i wanted my child to wear a uniform i would have placed him into private school.
