After reading through some of the motions that were prepared, the ones I read were all consistent with Scriptural principles and would help our church maintain its Biblical standard.
An open spirit of good will is easy to spot and I dont see it in certain church leadership. This is hurting the church. Lets try to have another meeting.
The congregation proved that we can be civil in a large setting. Transparency and openness is desperately needed in order to restore trust in the leadership and heal all wounds among the brethren.
Only those interested in spiritual matters should attend. If eating and going to the nursery are more important, by all means take care your first priority
The business meeting on 3/25 was clearly presented in a way the only supported the current administration wishes and was not structured to allow any opposing opinions for discussion. Also, a ballot needs to be constructed where ALL members will be able to vote not just the Kool-Aid crowd on hand.
A legitimate meeting should not be scheduled during worship time or meal time. Private child care should be attained by each family. Everyone in the church family desiring to discuss problems and issues should be given the respect to speak as long as necessary. During the last meeting, all microphones were abruptly turned off so that a request for a head count could not be heard. Cameras should not pan the congregation during voting. Finally, written ballots should be used so that vote tallies are not subjective based on visual or auditory senses.
