We need Allen Bestwick back in the booth.Allen has always been unbiased and
fair to all drivers, and he has a good grasp of the sport. He has always
been able to explan things simply, in a way that would help the
"newbies" to the sport. Mr. Weber is unable to even read the
correct question when in the booth. I have begun to use the mute button
when Weber talks.....so I'm sure that I must be missing advertising as
well. How would your advertisers feel about that? Seems they might not want
to spend their advertising dollars on your network, if viewers do this. |

Is there a reason Webber needs to be so dramatic? Not every aspect of

I am horrified by the change made by NBC. I find Webber to be an insipid
character. He has no insight to offer. His specialty appears to be offering
comments regarding "old" problems that the racers had.If I wanted
malicious gossip, I would read the enquirer! As a result of NBC's
stupidity, I keep the button on "mute." If even a small
percentage of watchers were to do this, just imagine the impact this would
have on the sponsers/advertisers.If we are not listening to their
advertisements, and it shows, how long do you think NBC will keep these
sponsers? BP and Wally often seem to be correcting him. I never saw this
occur with Allen Bestwick. I have watched NASCAR for over 20 years, and
Allen Bestwick provided the best coverage. Allen is impartial, has good
insight, and explains things in a matter of fact way. I am also appalled by
the SPEED channel's decision to replace him wit David Despain. INC was
the only show that I still watched on the SPEED channel - and I will stop
watching when Allen is replaced.
It's a shame when excellence is replaced with sub-average performance.
Shame on NBC and SPEED channels. I hope the idiots in charge of these
shameful decisions are fired. |
