BIDEN-FORD seems like the ticket that would most excite the counrty and probably has the most viability if Senator Biden can beat the Hillary machine in the 2008 primaries
Biden/Richardson
North/South vote
East/West vote
Richardson is popular in strongly conservative West Texas and among Hispanic-Americans; if any ticket could defeat the Republican Election Day shenanigans, this might just be strong enough to do it!
I've always thought of Biden/Richardson being a dangerous ticket. Almost a guaranteed landslide. BUT THEN WE HAVE Biden/Schumer, Biden/Corzine, Biden/Bredesen, Biden/Clark, Biden/Sebelius, Biden/Napolitano, Biden/Vilsack, Biden/Doyle, Biden/Dodd
Biden/Feingold Biden/Blagojevich
BIDEN/GRANHOLM
BIDEN/CLINTON
BIDEN/SPITZER
BIDEN/GORE
BIDEN/BIDEN(Oops!)
Still, the possibilites are endless.
Biden/Lieberman would appeal to liberals and moderates another good one would be Biden/Dean it would have a moderate and a liberal. The 2000 ticket didn't have a liberal and that gave Nader a lot of votes.
Here here.... it is about time that we have someone in office who doesn't need tutoring on foreign policy... want to really shake the political world up? Biden/Lugar .. two politicians who seem to care more about the safety/welfare of the average american more than partisanship
First of all, to "Bush Lover" please get out! Your post is considered trolling and should be removed! Now, my father and I do both hope that Joe runs in '08. Ford would make an intresting running mate, but I was thinking Tim Ryan, Stephanie Herseth, Mike Easley, or even Evan Bayh could work as well, I am very giddy about the upcoming election and can't wait to see who is nominated!
Please.... you have helped up so much in the past. You have the gusto that americans voted for in 04 but you also have the brains and compassion and heart of a democrat.
I agree that Biden would need a running mate that would electrify the youth vote, the moderate vote and the independent vote and it would have to be a southerner for sure, depending on how Harold Ford, Jr. does in 2006 in TN senate race I agree with Alex, Shirley, Issac and Jake that Biden-Ford is our key to the White House in 2008.
Does anyone else have a better choice for a possible Biden running mate than a loser and flip flopper like John Kerry, if this is you guys best suggest for a running mate if Biden was to win the nomination we would lose at least 40 states for sure
A Biden-Ford ticket remembers me of the Eisenhower-Nixon ticket in '52 in a positive way, experience, youth, straight talk and moderation all wraped into one ticket
I think before Joe Biden starts saying that he is proceeding like he is going to run he needs to update his PAC site (joebiden.com) because it is clearly outdated and lacks keeping up with modern technology like blogs and etc. in this catorgory Wes Clark, Hillary Clinton, Evan Bayh and even Russ Feingold are way out in front of him and this does not help his chances one bit coming from one of the smallest states in the union, a supporter can't even make a donation and if you try to contact him through his offices he does not respond in any form. This is a reason way Republicans have been so good at fundraising and getting their message across because they keep up with technology and their supporters through old fashion direct mail and phone calls. This is a word of advice to him and his supporters that if he is going to have any impact in 2008 he cannot continue to sit around with outdated information and technology without raising any grassroots money.
I think Joe Biden is the strongest candidate in years to seek the presidency, he has more legislative experience prior to becoming President than the last five presidents combined he is a candid talker and a straight shooter, I think if he was paired with the likes of Harold Ford, Jr. of Tennesee a red state moderate, that would be the best challenge the Dems could give to the Republicans and the best offering the party could give to a culturally divided America.
