I tried to watch "The Hills Have Eyes" today. But thanks to people that bring their babies to R-rated movies, I could not stomach the inhumanity going on IN THE THEATRE.
Do you remember looking forward to growing up? There are so many great things you have to look forward to when you are young. That is the way life should be. Everything in life has timeing. Things you earn, things you deserve, things that you can "deal with when you are older", and best yet, getting to the age when YOU HAVE THE CHOICE to do what you want to do with your life.
I am upset by parents that bring infants, toddlers, basically any child that cannot be left home alone, should not be brought to a r-rated movie. Let alone, without there choosing.
I know there are a lot of pre-teens out there that are getting upset, but I am not targeting you. I am talking about a 3 or 4 year old child, that is forced to watch a family get killed, bloody and senseless, or a girl get raped by mutants and the parents brought their children to see this, only because it is what they wanted to see. Maybe they couldn't find a babysitter, but really it is just selfish to take away the youth of your children because you cannot wait fot the movie to come out on video and watch it when they are asleep. These children have no choice. They are too young to even ask, or be able to sit in another theatre that would be age appropriate.
Please think about how great it was to be an innocent child, preferably before 9-11, and what you would really WANT your own child to see.
In addition to the psychological damage it may create for the child, you are ruining the movie for the adults it was created for.
