As any long-term HorseLand player would know, Inbred (I/B), Overbred (O/B) and Broken-Liners (B/L) are a permanent stain upon the great reputations of many horses and dogs. The closer to the present the break, inbreeding or overbreeding is, the less value the horse or dog has. Inbreeding and overbreeding can only be combated by common sense, but broken lines are a problem in the system itself.

Broken lines are created when a horse/dog is sent to the Pasture (retired). It is deleted from the system in a few days. When this happens, the link in the line and the information is deleted, leading to a broken line. Many player pay out lavishly for retirement accounts to take their older horses/dogs, rather than let the value of their 100k elite Hanoverian stallion drop to a mere $1000. THIS IS NOT NEEDED ANY MORE!!!!

All that truly needs to be done is that the link in the lines is removed, and replaced with plain text. Even better, they could add in front of the horse's name (PTS), which is a veterinary abbreviation, meaning 'Put to Sleep'.

If you are an elite breeder, you know the problem.

I have suggested this solution to HorseLand staff several times, but they have done nothing about it. This was six months ago!!
