ADHD is real but it does not have anything to do with bad behaivor you dumbass. This is a serious issue with me as I have been catagoriezed as a bad kid with an attitude because of my adhd all my life. Just because I need to tap my foot or something. I do not come from a broken family, infact my perants have been happily married for 20 years and have raised 2 other children before me both now with college degrees. Howe dare you say my condition is a sham. Yes maybe there are some parents who take it over the top and blame a kids lighting a dog on fire on ADHD but to deny its existence because of that is just idiocy.

I support this petition.My 7 year old son was just diagnosed as having it and from what I seen he's a normal 7 year old boy that has energy. He's not outrageously hyper and sat in the summer for 3-4 hours a day 4 days in a row fishing with me . He was just diagnosed having it after his teacher said something to his mother about having him checked to see if he has it because she supposedly was having problems with him listening. Thats like 75 % of kids today just half of them arent reported lol

All of you people who are for this are full of shit. I can't believe people are supportive for this. I'm greatly offended by all of you who have supported this. I have ADHD, mild to moderate autism and a slow learning disability. You people just want something you can bitch about. Just because you can't see a person that might have ADHD or even Autism, doesn't make those false disorders. You don't want to face the facts. Saying that ADD is an excuse for bad behavoir is like saying that cancer is a waist of time and money and/or that is an excuse to die. NEWS FLASH!!! It is not! I do not support this petition. I have ADD not ADHD but it is very similar. Everyone has a little ADD/ADHD in them but the people who are being treated have it in a more serious case. I was failing school until i was diagnosed and put on medication for ADD. You need to do your reasearch and if you had ADD/ADHD you would be against this petition too! Having ADD/ADHD is Harder then i looks and/or seems.

I WILL NOT SUPPORT THIS PETITION. I am NOT from a broken home, my parents are teachers, my Mum identified the behaviours in me when she was studying at uni to be a teacher. I HAVE ADHD. I have an IQ around 128. I am not dumb, but it is VERY HARD to consistantly achieve my potential because ADHD interferes with the ability to absorb information and process it. ADHD is recognised as a Neurobiological Dysfunction. I have participated in research showing a remarkable difference in brain patterning and neurological responses between people with ADHD and people without. Behaviour from my personal experience is more of a side effect than a definition. Helen Keller showed ADHD like behaviour because she couldn't hear or see. Therefore she could not receive the information to process. ADHD is a blindness and a deafness in the BRAIN. What is the use of seeing and hearing when that which you see and hear has nowhere to go? FRUSTRATION causes bad behaviour, ADHD causes frustration. ADHD has been recognised in people throughout history by analysing records and comparing it with the diagnostic criteria today, it is not a condition created by drug companies. They may do well to capitalise on it, but they didn't invent it.The medication is not a solution, it is a tool to aid the individual to work to control their condition. It is like a battery, that is why we give hyperactive people a stimulant, because hyperactive people use more energy, and tire quickly. Unfortunately a tired person with ADHD may not be able to stop when tired, and may not sleep well either. Hyperactivity is actually an inability for the brain to shut down. A tired child with ADHD can still be Hypo, the tired child is more hypo because they have no energy to control it. Stimulants give the energy to allow us to have a chance to control our behaviour. I will NEVER support this petition. This is as stupid and pathetic as the worst things that have happened in my life. Just because you don't suffer from ADHD doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I was diagnosed at 7 with a 139 IQ, and I see a huge difference between me and everyone else around me, from when I was a kid, to where I am now, 19 years old. NOT ALL hyperactive kids have ADHD, and NOT ALL ADD kids have hyperactivity. In the long run, you get to see the huge difference between an actual person with ADHD, and someone who fakes he has it in order to excuse himself from his continuously frowned-upon actions.

They do not come from a broken home and but a loving supportive home that does everything that it can to help them work with the issues that they face. To have someone say that this is not a problem just goes to show that they have never experienced the issues faced by parents with ADHD and ADD parents see everyday. ADHD is a false disorder, much like Aspergers or OCD. It was created by the medication industry in order to hook all these kids on meds and make them money.
