I studied comparative religions my senior year of high school and one of the chapters in our textbook dealt with the topic of "What is a cult?", where they listed the traits and aspects of cults, both dangerous and benign. Based on this education and my studying of Scientology, I have come to the conclusion that it is a dangerous cult, and anyone who would give it even the slightest bit of credence is not worth my respect nor support. I refuse to take part in helping support a cult. This is why I'm never going to spend one red cent on MI:3 nor on anything else that features any Scientologists.
The church of scientology is manipulative, and requires people to pay and forbids those who haved reached higher 'ranks' to teach those under them. It is a terrible corrupt organization .

I support this petition because as a Christian, I do not agree with Scientology one bit. I refuse to support this evil cult by paying money to see movies such as Mission Impossible 3. Anyone involoved with Scientology needs to wake up and smell the coffee! Scientology is not the answer. Jesus Christ is the answer! I support this petition on behalf of freedom of speech. Trey and Matt have every right to lampoon you, and Tom Cruise has every right to not watch it. I saw Tom Cruise at the NYC premiere of MI:3, but I will not pay to see the movie. I am still a fan, but it is an outrage that Catholicism and Judiasm are open targets, but Scientology bashing causes major flip-outs in Hollywood. Either all jokes are ok or none are.
