8 Jul 2006 - 2:18    Ashley Etheridge : I support this petition because the alligations made are completely false. The problem doesn't lie with the animals--The problem lies with their owners. They don't want aggresive domesticated dogs? Stop wasting time protesting bulldogs, but rather the owners that bully them.

23 Jul 2006 - 19:34    ingrid : It's all the way u raise ur dog. Any dog can be mean if u train it to be. I have a 6 year old Red nose and she is my LIFE ... I would die 4 her so this is just crazy!!!!!!

7 Aug 2006 - 21:44    Matthew : The owners are all to blame. If you treat pit bulls the way they should be treated, there won't be a problem.

19 Aug 2006 - 20:12    kara heneghan : I support this petition because I cant believe people who dont even have this breed of dog and dont know how wonderful that pit bulls are, are the ones trying to ban them....
4 Sep 2006 - 2:34    Ashley Turnbow : I own a pitbull that is my child. Not my dog that I leave outside when I am not home, my child that goes with me everywhere I go. Dont judge dogs, judge the owners who did this to them!
4 Sep 2006 - 2:49    Chris : i support this petition.
4 Sep 2006 - 2:50    Beth : I support this petition
4 Sep 2006 - 2:50    Laura Likover : because it makes some good poinjts about bsl. Vicious dogs are a human problem...and it is NOT proved that certain breeds are more vicious than others
4 Sep 2006 - 3:04    Kiomi : "When it comes to Pit Bulls the monster is often the two legged animal on the other end of the leash!" Meaning People are not being responsible for taking the time to socialize and train their dogs. SO BAN IRRESPONSIBLE PEOPLE NOT PIT BULLS!

21 Sep 2006 - 7:33    Sarah Gunsallus : Breed Specific Legislation is bias and unsuccessful. This type of legislation is usually to settle people's fears. Breed Specific Legislation would be the same as banning women from doing something or hispanics from something. It is a bias action. This statement is further by the fact that pit bull bans usually included OTHER breeds and any dogs looking like pit bulls. How is that the pit bull was the problem then? Does not this banning techinque prove that the pit bull or other breed in question is not to blame?
21 Oct 2006 - 0:08    Cassandra Hartman :
27 Oct 2006 - 2:30    Joe Soos : Punish the irresponsible owner not the untrained canine.
21 Nov 2006 - 3:17    Melissa DeGeorge :
30 Nov 2006 - 1:51    Paul Nixon : Quit Bullying Pitbulls!!
1 Dec 2006 - 20:45    Tamme R Williams : Helen Keller was an owner of a Pitbull.. ever hear of Helen getting attacked? On "The Little Rascals" that cute little dog that is so dearly loved is a Pitbull. How ridiculous is it for people to judge a specific breed of animal? Almost like how history has proven over and over how people have judged other people... WAKE UP PEOPLE!! It's not the breed, it is the deed.. these animals are not born killers, anymore than people are... but like humans... any breed of any animal can be trained to be killers... Our soldiers for instance and the war that is going on...
7 Dec 2006 - 1:04    Nicole Moyer : I think this is just so insane! Please don't kill the animal because of the irresponsible owner on the other side of the leash! I know so many sweet loving pitbulls! Punish the owners, not the mistreated animal! Once you kill off the pitbulls what will you kill off next? The sick people will just train more dogs to be like this! Please punish the deed, Not the breed!
7 Dec 2006 - 1:08    ROXANN WEIDNER :
8 Dec 2006 - 16:11    youssef : this is retarded.. my pitbull LOVES people.. he treats guests like they were old friends.. **** BSL
9 Dec 2006 - 9:30    Candace Comber :
21 Dec 2006 - 20:22    Megan McElveen : My Pit Bull IS NOT dangerous at all! He is the most loving and sweet dog you will ever meet and if any one tried to exterminate him then I would kill them!!!!
21 Dec 2006 - 21:08    Lindsay Hill : Please don't destroy the beautiful and loving breed because they fall into the hands of irresponsible owners. If you've ever loved a pitbull, you would not agree with BSL.
21 Dec 2006 - 21:09    sara jeffries :
22 Dec 2006 - 0:02    Carla Ann Thomas :
22 Dec 2006 - 9:31    marti addison : Pit Bulls were bred to love people but hunt lions, weren't they? The reason being that people had to be able to release the pit bull from their prey, I've been told. The do like people. They're very loving and bond easily to those who treat them well. An Ohio court ruled that OH cannot ban an entire breed. It must be dog specific and that if the owner says it isn't a pit bull there's no way to prove that it is. Yeah, OHIO. Finally done something right for a change!
23 Dec 2006 - 10:48    Becca Bain : I don't own a pitbull but I own three other dogs and would die if I lost them to something as stupid as this deed!! And, I feel for everyone who has a pitbull. Because no what breed alot of dogs are the same, I know my dogs if I trained them to be mean would be, dogs aren't mean unless you abuse them or train them to be mean! I definatly support this petition!

1 Jan 2007 - 7:02    Stephanie Marshall : We have 3 pitbulls and we had to move from the city we lived in because of the same law. They gave the police the right to kill the dogs on spot if they thought it was a pitbull or pitbull mix. I did not know about the meeting until it was to late. So if I can help others I will.
4 Jan 2007 - 1:57    Josh Kirkhart :

8 Feb 2007 - 4:26    jamin biconik : I'm still morning the loss of my best friend; a red nose brindle Pit Bull named Scrappy. He was a fine ambassador of his breed and changed many peoples minds about Pit Bulls. He was rescued at 8 weeks from a life of pain and abuse. You see Scrappy was destined to be a champion fighter and line his owners pockets with blood money like his father did before him. My wife and I gave him a new life full of love and friendship. We raised him properly and although he looked intimidating he was gentile and sensitive. He was obedient to the extreme and loved children and cats. He was a fearless protector that would have given his life to protect the ones he loved (how many people can you honestly say that about). His mere presents kept my wife and I from harm more times then we'll ever know. The only times I ever saw him as much as show his teeth to a human where justified. Both times we where on vacation and someone was obviously casing us out with the possible intent to mug or car jack us. One look at him sent them packing. Somehow I doubt that any breed not on the “ban list” would have had the same effect. Scrappy met his end as the result of the second class treatment for a urinary infection the resulting complications he received from a vet who like many uneducated people feared Pit Bulls. Unfortunately we found out too late that that particular vet has a history of giving second class treatment to the all of the warrior breeds. By the time we figured that out and took him to a competent vet it was too late. The competent vet confirmed that if the proper action would have been taken by the other vet when we first brought him in he could have been saved. I'll never forget his last moments and the pain of making the decision to put him to sleep. It was more like deciding whether to euthanize an adopted son than a pet. He was holding on to life with every fiber of his being even with a burst bladder, complete renal failure, and blood work that
