This petition is to bring back the Kawasaki W650 (ej650) to United States of America. A loyal following has been created from when the w650 was here and unforntunately the market wasn't ready for such an amazing machine. The timing was wrong then but is more than ripe and ready now.

Please sign this petition so the w650 will be brought back to the states.

Just wanted to add a request to all who sign this petition. Please tell as many people you know about this. Start a chain letter if you must, lets show Kawasaki how bad we want this work of art.

Hello,

Thanks everyone for their continued support of this petition. Here's an update of the petitions standing w/ Kaw. I've contacted Kawasaki numerous times and a rep has contacted me once. He told me that he'll forward my petition to the appropriate person, but I haven't heard from Kaw since. The Kawasaki rep also said and I quote, 'don't hold your breathe.'

The question that is raised to me is how big does a company have to get before they choose to not listen or respond to their customers wants?

This can be applicable to any company as I have reached out to a handful of major motorcycle publications and they, from what seems, chosen to not respond or reply back.

I will continue to market and find new marketing methods for this petition.

Thanks again,
-John

Hello,

Thanks for taking the time to check out my petition. The following is an email I received from Kawasaki's PR Manager.

start email

Hi John,

I had some time to sit down with our Director of Product Management. As I
told you before, this was the first time I had been made aware of your
effort.

I wanted you to be aware of some information about the W650. My apologies
if you all ready know all of this. You could certainly share this
information with others who love the W650.

1. First of all, tightening emission regulations in the U.S. have made
importing the W650, as it was previously configured, impossible.
2. In order to import the W650 into the United States, significant
engineering (read: resources) would be required in order to reduce
emissions to an acceptable level.
3. Unfortunately, the current market in the U.S. for retro-style bikes is
very small.
4. Kawasaki continuously monitors sales trends for all segments closely,
and we will continue to monitor this segment. If the market shows adequate
business potential, we may re-consider an updated W650 or some like model.

We can't thank you enough for being a loyal Kawasaki fan and for contacting
us. If you would provide me with your mailing address and shirt size, we
would like to send you a small token of our appreciation. Thank you.

end email

Basically, for everyones opinion agreeing that the W650 should be brought back I will get a t shirt. I didnt provide my mailing address as I dont want a tshirt. I want KMC to pay honor to all these votes and to realize this potential. I replied back basically saying that Honda is bringing back a retro bike so they must be seeing the same thing as I. Please continue to sign this petition and in addition if u can send an email to KMC that would be much appreciated; just go to KMC's website.

I support this petition. As far as I\'m concerned, the interest for retro bikes in the USA is at a high level. I currently own a Suzuki TU250X, which is a blast to ride and generates a great amount of interest by other riders. I would be very much interested in a Kawasaki W650.

I support this petition. I have owned one since new, It is one of several bikes I own and will never sell. Almost the perfect the bike, Just needs a few more cc\"s though to be truly highway friendly. Otherwise perfect and never a leak, breakdown or any other mechanical problems.....
