I’m trying to fight for what I believe is right. This may seem pointless and strange. However, my parents and I, you might agree also, don’t want to drive to Detroit, Flint, Lansing, Traverse City, or Grand Rapids just to fly to where you or I’m going. They have cheaper fares, but would spend extra money for gas and parking and waste time driving a long distance?

So, I’m beginning a petition for MBS to bring more airlines to the airport before they lose business and we all have to drive to Flint or Detroit just to get where we want to go.These are the airlines that I want to bring into MBS:

1. Continental Express (nonstop to Newark, New Jersey or Houston, Texas [Intercontinental]): Honestly, I get tired of flying on Northwest and United. I chose Continental Express because Continental has many things that Northwest and United don’t have on most of their flights. For example, Continental Airlines has free food on Coach that you don’t have to pay for, regardless if you are flying to Los Angeles or Hawaii. Also, Continental Airlines also has in-flight entertainment and pillows and blankets which Northwest does NOT have. I chose Newark and Houston because they have more destinations with Continental than Cleveland. Continental has more destinations to Europe, Central America, and Bahamas, including Caribbean than Northwest and United Airlines.

2. American Airlines/American Eagle (Nonstop to New York JFK or if requested Chicago O'Hare): I know for a fact that American flies to more destinations throughout Europe than Northwest and United. American has a lot more Caribbean, Central America, and South America, for those tropical getaways. I chose New York JFK because for those European travelers don’t have to stay in a plane as long as flying to Chicago, Detroit, or Minneapolis/St. Paul.

I know that I’m choosing mostly within the New York area, but New York is an alternate to Chicago O’Hare, Detroit, or Minneapolis/St. Paul, and has more flights to more places.
