Chris "Birdman" Andersen has been the biggest surprise of the 2008-09 NBA season. His infectious effort, enthusiasm and unrelenting hustle has been a large part of the Nuggets successful regular season. Moreover, he's a favorite among Nuggets fans who appreciate his tireless work ethic that brought him from NBA banishment back to a key player in the team's rotation. Due to his past transgressions with substance abuse, Andersen was understandably signed to just a one-year, $998,398 deal, but this makes him an unrestricted free agent at season's end. While the Nuggets organization deserves credit for taking a chance on Andersen, their recent insistence on fiscal prudence has fans concerned that they won't re-sign the Birdman in the offseason. Not re-signing Birdman would be a slap in the face - not just to Birdman - but to Nuggets fans everywhere who spend their hard earned money to watch the Nuggets succeed, and if necessary spend money to do so. So please join us in petitioning the Nuggets organization to do the right thing: Bring Back Birdman!!

After we collect as many signatures as possible, Denver Stiffs will submit the petition to Nuggets owner Stanley Kroenke, Vice President of Basketball Operations Mark Warkentien, Vice President of Player Personnel Rex Chapman, Vice President of Team Development Josh Kroenke, Advisor Bret Bearup and Director of Media Relations Eric Sebastian. For more information on Chris Andersen and all things Nuggets, please visit www.denverstiffs.com.

Thank you in advance for supporting this important cause and Go Nuggets!!
