If I wanted to listen to AC/DC I could flip on an FM radio and get more than my fill of it. I bought an XM in the first place so that I could get all of the things that FM doesn't have. Thanks for becoming FM from space. I suppose by Xmas you guys will probably pull everything else I listen to for some seasonal garbage (as you've done each and every year in the past). The end of my time as a subscriber may be in sight.
I support this petition. The punk stations were my favorite stations. Eliminating an entire genre of music for 1 band (ACDC) was a terrible idea. I don't dislike ACDC, but its definitely not punk, and no station should only play 1 bands music. Even ACDC fand will get sick of that. I know ACDC is back with a new tour/album and I understand from a business standpoint that promoting that certainly has its benefits, but eliminating a punk channel was not the right move...
Jon/Steve, you guys need input. Bring the Punk station back ASAP. It was the only station I could listen to without changing the chanel. Sad thing is, I used to like AC/DC(a little), but now I hate them for taking my Punk chanell. Good luck getting subscriptions back.
Sirius 29 was one of the 4-5 channels I listened to. AC/DC's music was already represented on one or more of the existing Sirius/XM stations, and I've heard the same song played 3-4 times per day or more. There is a market for punk programming, please bring back the punk channel...
I support this petition. Fungus 53 was a prime example of why XM Radio is/was a stellar service with VERY eclectic and widely varying stations carrying music of almost any genre imaginable. Please do not let this be the beginning of the decline of what XM is/was, an original format in not just the sense of how it was broadcasted, but of the many stations playing uncommercialized music that all of us audiophiles greatly appreciated.
Not only was Punk 29 the best music station on Sirius, you replaced it with the most played out un-original overplayed untalented ... I used to listen 24/7 - now even married howard is LAME.. won't be re-upping this year!!
I support this petition. I have canceled all my subscriptions and will not sign back up until fungus is brought back on the air. An cell phone with streaming last.fm or pandora could easily wipe your business off the air. you may want to start making your loyal customers happy.
I support this petition. On a trial subscripotion right now and the only reason I was even interested in that was for a dedicated punk channel. I will not subscribe without it.
I support this petition. I'm a Sirius 29 Punk listener but since it's all one company now and we are feeling the exact same thing on our end it's obvious we are all in the same boat!
I support this petition. My husband and I were thrilled beyond belief to find Fungus 53 on XM, and that was virtually all I listened to, aside from the BBC and XNPR. To find it replaced by, of all things, all AC/DC, all the time, was a crushing blow. I hoped that perhaps it was a one week promotion for their new album, but no. Fungus was removed without any fanfare, or even an announcement of any kind. It is greatly missed by many. Please don't let down a diverse group of music lovers: bring back FUNGUS!!! Without it, satellite radio is hardly worth it. Thank you.
I support this petition.
To Jon Zellner (Senior VP of Programming XM) and Steve Blatter (Senior VP of Programming at SIRIUS)
We would like to respectfully request that you return Fungus 53 and Sirius Punk to the your channel lineup. Both stations have a strong and devoted following among your subscribers. We have recieved letters stating that some of the content that was aired on Fungus can be heard on other stations (Fred 44 and Ethel 47) but that is just not true. Fungus had the greatest variety of punk on XM and removing it has left XM with no real punk offering. We are signing this petition to please urge to return Fungus promptly.
Sincerely,
Erik Schub
I support this petition. I liked Fungus 53, and heard it on my friend's XM radio. I was thinking about getting XM, but since this channel isn't there, I'm not going to bother.
Please bring this back I can't believe that there is not enough people listening to not find the punk stations worthy of a spot on this otherwise crappy system
I support this petition, and regretfully plan to cancel my subscription if this channel is not returned to the air. XM radio provides a service and a product that is supposed to entertain listeners, but if there is no benefit or enjoyment from this service, I have no reason to continue paying for it.
This appears to be a sad case of corporate suits cutting out the little guy to try to save a failing business. Consider what your subscribers want and stop trying to tell us what to like.
You will discover punk had far more fans than your communitistic twisted polls ever revealed! All the junk filler channels you already have just to add another-taking up 2 sattelite channels! U-suck
I support this petition. I can't find another channel that I like even half as much as Fungus and at work listening to the indie rock and Boneyard get old. I'm sick of AC/DC and am not the only one. Bring the punk back!
I support this petition. Fungus is the best station out there. It's the only music station that my girlfriend & I can agree on! If Fungus doesn't return, Apple is going to be getting more money for a new iPod & accessories and XM Sirius will have lost a loyal & valuable customer.
I support this petition. Fungus has one of the best & most diverse programming of ANY station ANYWHERE! To not have punk, rockabilly, psychobilly, ska, surf & the like represented on XM is a disgrace! It needs to come back…not in January, but NOW!
I support this petition. Who the hell wants to listen to AC/DC all the damn time? No one drunk or sober. Bring back Fungus or you will lose yet another listener
