I support this petition. The loss of Fungus and lack of a dedicated punk channel cause be to doubt the value of my subscription which I have had for two radios for five years. Please bring back the Punk!
Please bring back fungus 53 ASAP!!! There are five other stations the play AC/DC frequently. Why give up a station that plays thousands of songs from hundreds of great bands to one band with hundreds of songs that all sound exactly the same. I support this petition.
I support this petition. There has never been such a huge hole in programming since Liquid Metal was taken off air. One of the biggest reason for having satellite radio is your ability to provide specialized stations like Fungus and Liquid Metal among others. I can hear plenty of AC/DC on local terrestrial radio (which I haven't listened to in the four years since I got XM). Where else am I going to hear such a huge range of modern and classic punk rock? Not on Fred or Ethel. Not on any terrestrial station.
I support this petition. i have called to cancel both my radios... they offered me 3 months of service for 4.99 to keep my service.. i said i would keep my service for the 3 months but if after that period im canceling... UNLESS FUNGUS IS BACK ON THE AIR!!
the music on fungus is NOT available on any other channels!!
I absolutely support this petition. Sirius 29 was the reason I subscribed to Sirius. I will no longer be a customer come January if the Punk channel is not reinstated.
I support this petition. As much as I enjoy AC/DC, there are only so many songs to play before you start hearing them over and over. I didn't listen to Fungus all of the time, but always enjoyed Lou Brutus and the extreme variety that was offered. Hee Haw Hell was a huge vave.
AC/DC are a great band. But, come on. Their new album is only available at walmart. How far from the original idea of not being regulated is that.
I got SIRIUS for a reason. That reason was to be exposed to as much music and entertainment as possible.
If I wanted to listen to one specific band, all day, I'd buy or download their work.
I support this. The program director has his head up his mid-west top 40 classic rock and wouldn't know the Clash from ZZ-top. If I want AC/DC i can play my i-pod, if I want classic and new Punk rock I need Fungus. Hey XM!! Punk is here to stay but without Fungus I'm GONE from XM - Cancelled!!
I support this petition.
After I wrote the following complaint to the Sirius XM monopoly they fucked up royally by replying to someone else's email? Not a very good way of making the customer feel important, just another number I guess?
Heres my complaint:
I'm thoroughly disgusted in the choice of eliminating the Fungus 53 channel from the lineup. Since I became a subscriber I have only listened to a select few channels with Fungus being the majority of my listening. Replacing a channel that represents a whole genre of music with that of a single group is ridiculous in my opinion. I'll admit I am a fan of AC/DC however to dedicate a channel to a particular band does not offer any variety, especially since AC/DC can be heard on other channels such as The Boneyard. If I wanted to solely hear the music of a particular artist I would just listen to my ipod or cd's NOT my satellite radio. I am seriously considering canceling my subscription that I had since January 2005. I hope management will stop and realize that decisions such as these will be the downfall for this format.
I support this petition.I am very disappointed to see punk removed from the Sirius line up. Punk and Fungus were two of the truly original stations with programming that could be had no where else. I subscribe to satellite radio because it offers a variety of music that I can’t get on standard radio. If I wanted to here one band (AC/DC) or any other for that matter I would buy a ten dollar CD and put it on repeat.
I enjoy listening to many of the stations on XM but none of them could hold a candle to Fungus 53. I'm a 47 year old husband and father of three teenagers and an IT professional. I've been a serious punk fan since the late 70's and was thrilled the first time I heard Fungus. I have satellite radio at work and was considering a subscription to XM for my home and auto. Without Fungus there's no reason to subscribe. I can hear ac/dc almost 24/7 on my local "classic rock" station. I'm so disappointed. You guys are on the Highway to Hell!
I support this petition AND am a stockholder in Sirius. Sirius Punk was the best place to find a full range of great punk music. I and many others MISS IT!! Please bring it back. The AC/DC station just isn't going to have the loyal following Sirius Punk had.
I support this petition. dropping fungus without any
warning was bogus. i'll gibe you until jan. 15th, if its not back on, both my subscriptions will be cancelled
