I support this petition. Because with the merger the geritol generation has taken over, there are way too many classic rock stations. We want punk back! I like how Sirius is dismissing a whole genre of music and a whole generation that grew up on punk (Gen X) BTW Faction does not even come close to being a punk station. Faction has waaaay tooo much talk by the obnoxious Radio Hosts. and they play Punk once in awhile between Heavy metal and Hip Hop (Isn't there a whole section for rap and hip hop?) I say start looking into internet radio! there are way more choices.
I support this petition. EVERY other style of music is supported on satellite (sometimes on multiple stations). Why pull the punk channel(29)? If not for Howard, I would have cancelled my subscription. Bring back punk rock on satellite!!!
Fungus 53 was the best channel on XM. I bought a new vehicle and it had Sirius and the punk channel there was not as good. Now they have Faction 52 - "The Music of Action Sports." WTF? The station is pretty lame. They have so many similar stations, but can't support a pure punk channel? I call BS. How much do Lars & Gordy want? Their show was great. Does Cosmo Radio have some great following? This whole thing is terrible and ridiculous.
I support this Petition. I am a dedicated Sirius subscriber. When they removed the punk channel (which was diverse also) from Sirius, I was pissed. Apparently, the XM station was even better. BRING IT BACK! Thank you! Oh, and play SQUIGGY! At least the songs I sung on...
I love my channel 29 on Sirius then you changed it to the shitty AC/DC channel then, you killed it completly.Even with the merger you need to keep 1 punk channel for us to listen to.
I used to listen to Fungus 53 in my friends car. I recently got Satellite TV because it offered XM and I thought I would be able to have Fungus 53 blasting on my home stereo all day. Sadly, I could not find the channel. After numurous calls I learned that XM and Sirius merged and removed the channel. I and other friends who enjoyed the station have been very upset. A few friends, who only had XM/Sirius in there cars, have canceled there subscriptions. I soon will be switching back to basic cable unless the station is put back into commission. I wholeheartedly support this petition.
I support this petition. I am very disappointed. First they take the punk channel and turn it into 24/7 ACDC.
Then they lie to me (and many others who phoned or wrote to complain) and said punk would be back.
Now more good channels are gone. How many talk channels do we need?
Do subscribers really want channels that only play one band? Recession or no recession
they have shot themselves in the foot, the only advantage they have is being the only show in town.
And yes I pay for radio when I am a trucker in Canada where there are no stations at all the satellite can be great.
Well it was great, now I have over 100 channels of junk I don't want to hear.
But I still have Ellis, Howard (yawn) and half a dozen one band stations :(
I will cancel by the end of January if no improvement.

Fungus 53 ruled! Please bring it back....it was the most honest music programming that was on XM and played the big expensive hits as well as punk that someone created in a garage with a 4 track.
Let me get this straight, they have a Jimmy Buffet Channel, Grateful Dead, Eminem and Bruce Springsteen.
But they can't find ONE STINKIN SPOT to put the punk channel?
PATHETIC!!
I support this petition. I've been writing about this to XM for a while now with no response. I am ready to cancel if they don't give me my music back!
I support this petition. I think the wide variety not available on regular radio made a lot of your initial customers. Wouldn't it be sad for you to lose customers?
I support this Petition. I rented a car not that long ago that had sateilite radio and I came across the punk station and really liked it. I was even considering getting sateilite radio, but if you don't have a punk station, my main choice of music, then I won't be interested in subscribing.
If Fungus 53 does not return by the 5th of the new year, my subscription will be canceled. That channel was the only reason I even bought XM in the 1st place. Now that XM and Sirus have merged I find that I hear more commercials than ever on every channel, all the time.
I hope Fungus 53 comes back.
I support this petition.
Both XM and Sirius have multiple dance, christian, hip hop, rock, country, etc. channels, but cancelled the punk channel?!? Without punk rock, many of these bands would have never picked up and instrument. Punk rock fans are some of the most dedicated music consumers on the planet..don't miss the boat on this one...
why would you take off fungus and replace it with a station that plays acdc 24/7?!?! you can already listen to one of the many other rock stations to listen to acdc, but yet you've decided to remove the only punk station you had and replaced it with some bogus preconcived loop of acdc songs. go profit
We demand that Sirius XM return the Punk Channel to the programming lineup. We also demand that niche channels such as Boombox and Backspin also be returned to the satellite radio lineup as there is no full time alternative to the content of these channels as well. We, the listeners to the Punk Channel (Sirius) and/or Fungus (XM) recognize the importance musical diversity and sympathize with the dejected listeners of these canceled channels and/or formats.
As paying subscribers, we demand excellence for our money. The measure of musical diversity met that standard of excellence prior to the merging of Sirius' and XM's conent. We, the petitioners, do not accept a merger as an acceptable reason to provide a substandard product to the paying subscribers. We, the petitioners, demand that Sirius XM restore the musical diversity that once existed prior to the corporate and content merger.
