I used to love the old nickelodeon but now all they have is crap. I used to come home from kindergarden and watch it non stop. My personal favorites are definently- Pete and Pete, My brother and Me, Clarissa explains it all- and Doug. Keep in mind thats leaving out hte game shows and a few other cartoons i watched
Old School Nickelodeon shows were absolutely amazing, and kept kids innocent. Shows like Sharon, Lois, and Bram's Elephant Show were far from rude and crude, like shows now, such as Spongebob. Eurekas Castle, Pinwheel, and Clarissa Explains it All, along with many many many others should be brought back. I believe what is holding the creators back, is the monetary problem. Showing all of these shows again would mean the company would have to pay every single person on those shows (that is still alive) money as a credit for airing them again. Even with this in mind, bringing back these shows would have such an overwhelming response, the station would be a huge hit, and would get thousands of viewers.

I'm starting a petiton to get the classics back with some friends. Anybody who reads this should start a petition too. Then send the petition to nickelodeon studios(you can find the address on the internet)The more complainers the better! Bring back our shows!!!
My friends and I are starting our own petition around school. We loved the old shows and have been bringing up good things about, The Secret World of Alex Mack, and Doug. They were our favorite shows!! It's all I watched! Now they have shows like Spongebob, said by my friend Emily, but they arent teaching kids good things! I mean Spongebob nudie pants!? I mean common!! What is that teaching Elementary kids!? To take their pants off? I hope not. Well I think all of the Nick Shows in the 90's should come back, they taught kids good lessons and influenced my life, and that's a fact!

The classic shows were actually fun and funny. Now all Nickelodeon shows are stupid show like rugrats all grown up, the new all that, spongebob squarepants, danny phantom, etc. What happend to the quality television on in the 90's. as a parent i am concerned with the increased rate of scantily clad younsters on the streets who act in a way that brings shame to all parents for allowing this to happen. Kids are growing up to fast these days and it is time we help revert our kids back to what they are- innocent children. That is why these shows should be brought back, not only because they are loved by many, but because they show how kids should be acting and they are a wholesome form of entertainment.
You shall bring back these shows or, like the ancient scripture i found in a lockbox in the middle of a pond 400,000 miles from any living soul, entombed in a bed of living rock says, "You shall shrivel and rot if these shows are put back on air, if they are not enjoyed by thousands of little kids, if they do not cause rejoicing in the streets, and people to jump with ecstatic amounts of joy. If these conditions are not met, than cows shall fall from the sky, slamming into houses and builings located all over the world, wreaking mass panic and destruction upon any who do not agree with the one rule of God... This is the reason these shows must be put back on air... Or else...
People wonder why todays youth are falling into a desolate world of skanky behavior mixed with little inhabitions and massive drug use that is entailed with violence but they always forget that what they allow their kids to watch at such a young age truely affects how they grow and develop. So by taking the smut of todays cartoons off the air and replacing it with some quality televison that the WHOLE family could actually enjoy, nickeloden would be surprised with the increase in its ratings as parents, teens, and young children alike would sit down together and watch some wholesome and character building shows that can put our youth back on track. But dont revamp the oldies just leave them as they are, good and funny.

dang right now my cousin and i are watching nick GAS (guts, family double dare, etc) because those are awesome shows. the current shows on nick are crap. but i would def watch a channel with the old ones, b/c those were the best and like most everyone else here, seeing those titles brings back great childhood memories.

SNICK ruled my world, especially with the original All That and Roundhouse.
What was the name of that show that was about delinquent youths that were sent to live on a ranch. You know, the star of the show ended up being luke skywalker in star wars.
Looking at all of the comments already left here brings back a lot of memories I would love to see all these old shows on ... lately Nickelodeon is going down the drain lately the only good shows are spongbob etc.

Rocko's Modern Life was a show before its time. Containing adult humor that left kids none the wiser, RML gave something better to the older audience. Wit, sarcasm, and repartee that were an unforgiving and hysterical combination gave the show an original twist and memories to last a lifetime. I value the memories
of pure comedic writing on Rocko's Modern Life higher than any nonsense that they have put on television in the last five years.
Nickelodeon would be wise to bring back the precedents, the original shows that brought the network to what it is today.
omg old school nick was AMAZING i loved it!! i would SO watch ALL of them if they were still on! especially clarissa explains it all, ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK was probably my favorite!!.. and i know a bunch of the shows like roccos modern life and ahh real monsters are on the nicktoon channel on iO and other digital cable channels.. but none of the non-cartoons are (hense nickTOONS..) but the non-cartoons were definetly better. BRING THEM BACK NICK!!
I love all the old nickelodeon shows. I often wake up really early in the morning just to see a re-run of one of them. It would be great to have a cable channel with all of them on it. I would deffinitely watch it everyday and I have a ton of friends that I know would too! My favorite show of all time was Caitlin's way. So come on nick put them back on! :)
Back in the day Nickelodeon was the best!! Even thou we're all older, if they added an extra channel with a whole bunch of re-runs..i have to say, and i speak for all us 16-20 yr olds, we would sure as hell tune in! Pleeease bring these shows back..nothing's funny anymore!
