We the undersigned are fans of CSI who remember the glory days of the earliest episodes.

It is definitely rare that a show's best season is its first, and while the other seasons are only behind in a slight degree, we would like to see a hint of these first seasons.

There was the Blue Paint Killer recently. That was interesting, of course, a recurring story line that kept the interest of fans. There was also the Tammy Felton episodes, and they also had this feel to them.

But there was another. There was someone who played Moriaty to Grissom's Shelock with ease and wonder, with chemistry and passion. He was crafty and ingenious, even getting Grissom to clear him because of planted fingerprints.

Now that's a plot line.

But then you killed him off. Certainly, there will be others to irk Grissom and give his team the run around, but there will only ever be one Moriaty, only one Paul Milander.

Please, tell us all he faked his death and he's returned. Tell us all that he'll come back and remind us just how personally involved Grissom can get, no matter what Catherine has to say about it.

So, it is with great humility we ask, please, bring Paul Milander back.

Besides, I'm sure Matt O'Toole could use the job.
