Schapelle's speech was made to three judges who cannot understand or speak English. Can someone please explain why her final speech was not interpreted to the judges? Or , why the judges allowed her plea to fall on their deaf ears?

I can't believe how arrogant those Indonesian judges and prosecutors have been. I don't know about anyone else, but to me it seems like they want her to be found guilty. Like, they don't want to take into account all the evidence that shows her innocence. Not only that, the judges didn't even show any emotion towards her own address to them. I have never been to Bali and have always wanted to. Now because of the Corby case, I have no interest in going to Bali and being subjected to the possiblity that anyone may face these circumstances. What also irrotates me is that we gave the Indonesian's more than 1billion in support after the Tsumani, haven't the Indonesian's got any respect for what we've dont for them? More than 88% of Australian's believe Corby is innocent and it seems that no one in authority is listening. Our Government are whimps, they need to be doing more to save all Australian's caught up in the drug issues. I'm also frustrated by the fact that baggage handlers in Australia do not need to get screened at the airports, (I just read that today), the drug bag was not checked for finger prints and cameras at the airports weren'r operating. To many if's to me means not beyond reasonable doubt = innocent.

Shapelle is now subject to the law of Indonesia after customs officials found a prohibited drug in her luggage. If she didn’t put it there who did? The circumstantial evidence points to the Australia domestic baggage handlers.
If Shapelle’s luggage was tampered with, it could have also have happened to anyone’s luggage. I urge the Australian Government to ensure that the AFP are taking this matter seriously and investigating the Brisbane to Sydney drug trade - offer a substantial reward for information with protection -ensure that the trade is uncovered. Have discreet talks with the Indonesian President. Take action.
This young woman is likely to be incarcerated in an Indonesian jail for years. If she is innocent then it will be the greatest public miscarriage of justice in the modern era. After the bombings in 2002 tourism fell so much in Bali that they faced a real economic crisis. Australians holidaying to Bali helped them out of that terrible spot. So this is how they repay us after we lost so many fellow Australians that day? They have a lot of nerve to turn aroung now they are back on their feet and threaten to take one more Australian life.

I am working as a primary school teacher in Perth Western Australia - normally the demands of my classroom take most of my time - but I am concerned deeply about the situation Schapelle Corby finds herself in and so have decided to let you know my thoughts on the matter.
Over the last six months we have seen a lot of Schapelle in the media - a few experts in body language have looked at Schapelle's verbal testimony and believe that she is truthful.
Most Australians believe that what is presently happening is a travesty of justice.
As an Australian taxpayer I am contributing to the billion dollar relief package our Government has pledged to Indonesia. I am appalled that we are giving that amount of money to a nation who has no care for at least one of our own citizens. I cannot understand why yourself and John Howard have not stepped in to bring Schapelle home.
While Schapelle suffers in that Indonesian jail - many Australians identify with her.
If you leave her in that jail those people who are presently feeling sorrow over her circumstances will eventually reach the conclusion that your Government has the same level of care and respect for all Australians travelling abroad.
While one could say that the decision to travel to Indonesia was a foolish one - (and on a personal note I won't be taking any 'tourist dollars' there) the responsibility for this innocent Australian rests in your hands.
