Indonesian justice is a farce, i lost a dear friend and her 13 year old daughter in the Bali Bombing and Bashir gets 18 months. I love Bali but will never ever visit the place again until Schapelle is free and clear. Our government has a lot to answer for in my opinion. Bring her home to her family and those who love her.
How can the Indonesian Govt call it a "justice" system when the onus is on the defendant to prove their innocence. This is why we have reasonable doubt. Free Schapelle now.

I've been following this story closely and can't believe the farce that is laughingly called 'justice' in Indonesia. Our justice system in Australia has often been criticised in the past but it's far superior to Indonesia's "guilty till proven innocent' version.
I strongly believe Schapelle is innocent and feel so sad for her and her family. I've just found this site and will be sending it to my friends and family. This could so easily happen to one of us or our daughters or sons.

My heart goes out to Schapelle and her family. Why dont we show support by tieing a yellow and pink ribbons on our houses and cars to show her how much support we have for her and that we care. It could have been any of us.

Indonesia became a UN Member State on the 28th of September 1966, and in the Corby case, it has hence violated Article 7 and Article 10 of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

This fact should be realised.
Drugs are grown and openly sold -and boasted about -by many locals in Indonesia. When an Indonesian is arrested for drug dealing they are sent to prison for a few months then released and are back on the streets to resume their business. For many locals that is how many young people survive because their government does nothing to help them gain employment. If Indonesia is so paranoid about drugs in their country that they would imprison an innocent westerner for life - they should look in their own back yard.
We drove Indonesia out of East Timor - they are wielding their power over us now by making an example of one of our innocent citizens. They can't beat us by fighting - they'll beat us by imprisoning our people.
And - shouldn't Qantas be taking responsibility for this? We put our trust in airlines for the security and safe transport or our baggage. They have done the wrong thing by this girl so surely they should be owning up to their responsibility and doing something to aid her defence - along with the Australian Government!
It saddens me to think that Schapelle Corby may spend life in jail for alledgedly trafficking cannibus, when Abu Bakar Bashir was convicted to 30 months in jail for his involvment in the Bali bombings.
Where is the justice in that!

Now it all begins to become clear. It appears people like Keelty were after some news headlines with regard to a drug bust, when innocent Schapelle stumbled into the very thing the Authorities have finally admitted they were investigating. Baggage handlers at Sydney Airport involved with the shipment of drugs, both from overseas and within this country, using the baggage of innocent people to carry out their task.
They’ve kept quiet, made claims that it wasn’t happening, all of which hasn’t been of any help to Schapelle, in fact Keelty’s statements were damning to her and he continues to try to cover what they were up to, by insisting Schapelle’s case isn’t connected.
If Keelty knows so much, how come, once again, they only caught small fry? They never catch the big fish. So how can the man who only partially does his job, because he only partially knows what he needs, to make such damning statements about anyone, when he quiet clearly doesn’t have all the facts, or we’d have seen the big fish in the roundup of this latest drug bust. But we didn’t did we? All we can see is innocent Schapelle in prison.
The Indonesians have been condemned for this, but now I’m wondering about that. Were they also innocent victims in all of this? Were they misled by our Authorities desire to keep a lid on an ongoing investigation relating to drugs? Were they also misled by Keelty’s statements to the press?
It’s highly likey Keelty’s evil mouth hasn’t helped and now, when, as usual, it’s way too late, Howard finally gets what all other Australians have been screaming about for months, “maybe Schapelle is innocent” “ maybe it’s possible someone could have planted drugs in her luggage” Maybe there are corrupt baggage handlers at Sydney airport “ as Schapelle has claimed from day one.
I think our Government may owe Indonesians and Australians an apology. I also think they owe Schapelle a huge compensation payout for allowing her to rot in that stinking prison

I am an American friend of Suzanne Schuitman, your fellow country lady, who also was innocent. I fought hard to get her home and hopefully that is where Schapelle will be shortly. Now I give all my energy to Schapelle Corby. May truth prevail and may authorities be honest about internal baggage tampering and drugs running though your airports. The prime minister & members of the govt need to look at this case as if Schapelle was their own child or grandchild. What ends would they go to to ensure her freedom? She is totally innocent of this alleged crime.I would ask all tourists to boycott Bali until her release.

It is obvious that Schapelle Corby is not guilty and our government should do all it can to get her out of gaol. I fully endorse the petition, with the proviso that the name of the country is "Indonesia", not "Indonesian".

Over the last few weeks ive been following Schapelle's court case closely and there seems to be no evidence to find her guilty. She had no motive as the drugs in Bali are worth 20 times less than in Australia and nobody would need 4kgs for their own personal use. Her fingerprints would not have been on the bag had the Indonesian authorities even bothered to fingerprint it. Her luggage was Xrayed in Brisbane with no evidence of drugs in her bag and she did not touch her bag again until it arrived in Bali. However at least half a dozen other people would have come in contact with her bag between the time Schapelle checked her bags in at Brisbane airport and the time she picked them up in Bali. Recent drug sieges in Australia support Corby's claims that a handfull of baggage handlers in major airports around Australia are using passenger's baggage to traffic drugs around the country. But even without all this evidence you only need to take one look into Schapelle's eyes to see that she is innocent. After all the eyes are the window to one's soul. I ask that the judges in her trial look into their hearts and find this poor girl innocent. She deserves to come home. Schapelle, my thoughts are with you everyday.
