there is no way she did this crime the drugs are worth much more in Aus than in indonesia where it is openly supplied on the streets cheap. I have been a regular visitor but not anymore this could easily have been me.
Imagine if this was your sister or friend. This is her worst nightmare This poor girl will never fully recover, even when she is brought home and set free.
Whether she is guilty or innocent is not for me to decide. I was not convinced of her guilt beyond reasonable doubt. I understand that there are other Australians in a similar position. Please bring Schapelle home.
It is a sin that this poor girl has been found guilty - but I feel sure Justice will prevail. Her Parnets should be really proud of the way she has handled herself through this whole nightmare - Schapelle - Keep your chin up - We are all behind you back home xxx
I am devestated at this decision of 20yrs, and want her brought home to Australia but I also don't believe she deserves 20yrs - whether innocent OR guilty (I believe 100% that she is innocent)
We should have been boycottting Indonesia since way back when the East Timor crisis was going on. NOW hopefully more than ever Australians will finally do something about this and boycott Indonesia. Its abou the only thing we can as individuals do.
The Indonesian legal system is totally unjust. The Australian Government have not done enough to help. I feel so sorry for Shapelle and her family. Every Australian needs to stand up and rally together. We must force our government to act and demand justice for Schapelle!!!
I feel sick to the stomach that this has occured. 20 years for not locking your bag. I understand their laws but lets get real this is rediculous. Since when in today's society can a person be convicted on such flimsy circumstancial evidence. What a joke.
This is an outrage. that could of been the Queen of England that put it there or it could of been the queen in that position for all we know. so what the hell is their friggin problem. we help them they prosecute us! Just like Karen Azar said. An INNOCENT person gets 20 years and the Bali Bombers get what? jack shit. and schapelle we will bring you home. stand tall and be proud and dont give up. GET A LIFE JUDGES.
Bring schapelle home, your more than willing to help anyone else mr howard, even with out your public's full support,so do something for your countrymen and look after one of your own.Use your powers and dont let her rot in a putrid bali jail cell, come on mr howard have some balls!
I have just watched the verdict and tears coming out of my eyes. I could never imagen how you are feeling Schapelle and i believe you are 110% innocent. You will be free. The Australian government should be ashamed of themselves you can't even help your own people!!!
I have lost all faith in our Government after seeing how Schapelle has been treated by John Howard's Government. What hope dose any Australian citizen have if they should need assistance when travelling overseas.John Howard and his Government have a chance now to help Schapell and restore some faith in them.
I will never go to Bali - its disgusting that an Australian has to suffer like Schapelle - in confiditions like that. No one should live like that, and the fact that she is innocent makes it all the worse.

What a nightmare, l no that she system is wrong, the system failed her, more legal input was needed from the start, more pressure on the system was needed so the charges would be droped, this is a disaster for everyday ordinary AUSSIES, can happen to you,me and the people around you, l dont believe the seriousness of the situation was taken into account when she was charged....a larger legal team may have helped
I cant believe the justice system, an INNOCENT person gets 20 years and the Bali Bombers get What?? Jack Shit Stand with your head high schapelle, you will be home soon!!!!!
I have just seen the verdict and shed tears for schapelle. No one should go through what she has endured over the past 7 months. She has tried to maintain a strong belief yet still she has been penalised for something she did not do. I am convinced that she has not been involved in this. She is innocent and deserves to come home to her family. Please do not use her to make an example of the penalties involved in drug smuggling.
Dear John Howard,
How can you say to accept Indonesia's verdict on the Schapelle Corby trial. How would you feel if this was your daughter ? You say to accept Indonesia's justice system, please......A system that sentenced the Bali bombing mastermind to 2 years and 9 months for murdering 100s of people. Whether or not this girl is guilty she does not deserve this.
You must make a stand. You will lose many supporters if you do not. I tell you this in all sincerity. The Indonesian justice system is a JOKE ! If this had been done in a non-mysogynist society this would never have happened, the facts and evidence were screwed and disembowled to suit Indonesia. This girl should not have to go through this alienated and away from her family. Those judges treated Ms Corby with contempt and utter arrogance, how is that fair, how is that moral ?
I have never taken drugs, don't drink alcohol, don't even drink coffee or tea, I abhor them in fact, but I support Schapelle Corby regardless of the circumstance.
Come on Mr Howard, Australians are better than this. Your daughter, my daughter, someone else's daughter, they need support.
I believe a total withdrawal of all support from Indonesia is the only way to make a stand. I don't believe you'll do that, but eveyone is upset. Australia has done so much for Indonesia, isn't it about time that compassion was reciprocated ?

I watched the verdict on prime today where she was sentenced for 20 yrs i almost cried the look on her face was heart breaking. Indonesia talk about how this is bad for the country etc well they should take another look at their society. This is injustice.
What a joke the verdict is. Did the defense for her do anything. I will never travel to indonesia again as a result, as it has just been proven innocent people's lived are worth nothing.
The Indonesian legal system is a farce, if not corrupt. The heartbreak and sadness I feel for Shapelle and her family is beyond description. Keep putting pressure on the Australian Government to ask for a Prisoner exchange, and keep putting pressure on the Indo. Government by boycotting Indo. tourism and products. Finally, PLEASE take a small amount of time and effort to encourage your family and friends to do the same. Collective individuals can create enormous change. Never doubt that, or our ability to help Shapelle.
To you Schapelle is my heart and my sorrow for you, i may not know you but ahve watched this case day by day knowing from the start you are innocent. You asked us never to forget you, i tell you right now hun there is no way in this world anyone could forget you and what you ahve been through. Keep your chin up and know there are a million people out here wanting you to be freed and i know not one of us will stop till you are. You have shown strength of a thousand people throughout your ordeal, stay strong and we'll see nyou real soon back in OZ...
I think the Australian government are a joke and i know if that was their daughter over there they would do everthing in their power to have her free. Im ashamed at the Australian Government and ive always been proud to be an Australian but know i can honestly say im NOT it could easy vbe anyone of us that this happened to. Im 27 years of age the same as Shapelle and i get so upset to think the country you are from and call home cannot do that much to help you.
As for you Schapell hang in there MATE because a lot of Australians do believe in you and are trying there best to help you come HOME where you belong.
I feel complete disgust & total disappointment in the lack of compassion shown in the Balenese courts. What's wrong with these people??? What the hell is happening in this world? It's all so wrong & makes the world such a sad place to be.
I feel sicked by the Australian Government for allowing this to happen to Schepple Corby. She is an innocent Australian Citizen who was going on a family holiday and has been setup.John Howard has become the 2005 Judes crucifying one of our own. After all the help we gave Bali Australians should be black band andthing to do with Bali.
This is so obviously politcal. Why smuggle drugs to a country where they are available cheaper. It's so basic. I truly believe she is innocent. The Indonesian Justice system is vitally flawed. 2 years for a terrorist that killed 200+ peopl, and 20 years for an innocent girl. Go figure.

Indonesia, their justice system, everything they stand for is an absolute JOKE! Conveniently they forget how much assistance we've given and $$$$$ in recent months but you know what?? NO MORE HELP TO THE INDONESIANS - Let's unite as one BOYCOTT BALI, stand back and watch the country go broke from no tourists. See how the Indonesian President likes them apples!!!!!
I was a social worker dealing with drug rehabilitation and have seen many people involved with drugs. Schapelle does not fit this profile neither does she look like, or speak like somebody involved in drugs. I have watched her body language throughout this trial and if I had her as a client I would definitely say that this person is not guilty of the accusations. To sentence her to 20 years gaol is the real crime
it is not so much a matter of a ‘boycott’ it is a matter of personal safety and how much you value your own life-Indonesia is just not a safe place for Australians to be currently. Our thoughts and prayers are with Schapelle…it is unimaginable what she is going through…it is a very sad day for the human right of a fair trial and justice..but not much is fair in this world!
I think 20 years is the most obserd sentence. She is obviously inocent and we, he people will not stop fighting for her freedom until her name is cleared. She has great stregth and is an amazingly strong person in everyones eyes. Kepp the faith Schapelle. God bless you.
In Australia, people i have known have received NO JAIL for larger amounts of Maijiuana, their HUMAN RIGHTS were considered, the laws have GOT to change.
What a Fuc#en joke. Bali bombers get three years for killing people and a innocent girl in the wrong place gets 20 years. I say fuc# the indonesian people and keep them all in detension untill justice is served.
No justice was shown- Schapelle didn't even get a voice. She is an innocent girl and the person who did this show mercy and come forward. Never give up faith that we can set her free like she forever deserves to be
What a farce!..20 yrs for something she did not do..I feel so helpless not being able to help the poor girl. I am so angry!..the GOVT HAS to do something to bring this innocent girl home...HAS TO!
