Yet another innocent victim of the war on drugs. Shapelle Corby should never have gone before a court for this victimless crime, whether guilty or not. John Howard, bring her home.
I believe she's innocent. All the horrible things happened to her is more to a set up and being in other country's prison is an enough punishment for her
I am outraged, disgusted, angry, etc.
This girl must not be allowed to rot in such a disgusting place.
Boycotts of everything Indonesian is just the start.
How can the person who planted the drugs in Shapelle's bag sleeep??? WHAT A BASTARD - you get to live your life while this girl suffers for your crime. I hope you get what is coming for you. I hope you rot in hell for doing this to her.
Oi, John Howard. Do someting. We voted for you to be our bloody prime minister so use what we gave you to save schapelle. Blody Idonesian Government! Set free what Auzzie should deserve.
i believe you are innocent. The bali court is a joke. My friends and I hope that you are sent back to oz and our thoughts are with you and your family.
Help save this innocent girl!! She is no relative to me, but I cannot sleep at night - this is making me physically sick - for Schapelle and her family & friends. Please god, look after her and bring her home to us. Don't let this young girl suffer another day.
An innocent Martyr for a corrupted system. Justify your callous nature elsewear. I am sure Indonesia stands to lose more in international tourism than they stand to gain by scare mongering drug dealers. Bastards.
Dear Mr Howard,
I am writing to express my despair at the situation that Scahpelle Corby is in. Although I realise you would have receieved hunderds of emails in regards to this, I am writing becuase I am at odds as to what I can do to help.
If giving money would help, I would give whatever I could. If me going over to Indonesia would help, I would go in a second. If I could do absolutely anything in the world to set things straight, I would. Obviously though, no matter how much of my heart and soul I could give towards the cause, I know that it could not help set Schapelle free.
Why I am writing to you is that I believe you are one of the few people in the world that have the power to do the right thing.
Although you did not choose it, you are one of the few people that can save Schapelle's life from being ruined. I believe that Schapelle's life really is in your hands.
I know you did not put yourself in this position, but Schapelle did not put herself in the agonising position she finds herself in now - 20 years rotting away in a filthy jail, her best years of her life taken away from her.
Please use the power you have been granted, and fight as hard as you can, to set this innocent Australian free, and allow her to come home and enjoy what is rest of the life she deserves to live.
I do beleive that deep in your heart you know Schapelle is innocent. I know that you cant openly disrespect the Indonesian justice system, and hopefully you have been doing more behind the scenes than you have let on through the media.
We all know that the Australian government has been building close ties with Indonesia lately, and this developing friendship does not only need to be used for financial and military gain.
Mr Howard, you have the power.
Please dont just look at her as another news item. Put yourself in her and her family' position. Try to feel their despair, try to feel their pain, their anguish, their hopelessness. Their
No matter wether schapelle is guilty or not, she deserves to be at home with her family and friends!!! She should be innocent until proven guilty and there is not enough proof to show that she is guilty. It is not fair that she has to suffer in that shocking bali jail. She should be back in Australia, where she belongs.
How can we help Schapelle, my husband is disabled and I am his carer so financially we cannot help but how can we support her except pray which is what we have been constantly doing but to no avail after todays appalling verdict. Please let me know what we can do for her. Rosalie Forknall 12 Allingham Way, Agnes Water QLD 4677.
The verdict today shocked me. There have been so many flaws in this trial, and as a result an innocent girl is suffering. I feel so sorry for Schapelle and her family. My prayers are with Schapelle now. I pray that she will be strong enough to get through this.
Indonesia suck...after everything we have done this is what you do to one of our auzzies's. We helped over 500 000 of your people and you cant help one of ours...Thats realli dissapointing.
This is ridiculous, there are so many reasons she should of been found not guilty for, too many inconsistencies! i hate our government for letting this happen! atleast bring her home!
I have just watched the "Vertict on Schapelle" & I find it appaulling that the Aust.Govt are now going to step in to get her home..And all Johnny Howard has to say is that Australians should accept the 20 years..He's Fukt and so are the Indonesians..How much do we do for them..Tell me what they do for us..Send a Balinese bomber to jail for 18 months and give an innocent Australian 20 years just for a bit of Pot! The only way Schapelle can come home is the support from us Aussies!!
Get the girl home, out of one of the worlds most corrupt societies. This could be my unfortunate Daughter or yours or Johnny Howard your daughter. It is a travesty of humanity. black ban all travel to bali and all aid to bali until the girl is home.
My first visit to Bali 18 months ago will be my last. The Schapelle Corby scenario could have befallen any innocent Australian traveller. Don't leave this woman rotting away in a country which smirks in the face of justice and hold Australia in complete disrespect.Look how they treated the Bali bombers.
Have some compassion and bring this women home.
I love you Shapelle, you are a strong, brave young women, who i believ has done nothing wrong. All Asustralians should boycott Bali, what they have done is no good for their toursim industry. Its soooo unfair the Bali bomber got 3years for killing 200 odd people and shapelle gets 20. Keep on being strong. Come on Austrlain Government surely you can do something, now is your time to act, you have spent the last 7months on your bums doing jack all, do Australia proud and help shapelle. Support Shapelle Support Australia. John Howard why should we accept the verdict when we think its not fair, GET OVER YOURSELF, its not always all about You. Shapelle keep being strong you have all of Australia behind you. I just hope that the baggage handler can't sleep another night for the rest of their life, and as they say what comes around goes around, so you will get caught.
The poor girl is innocent free her. Let Schapelle come home to her family and friends. I will support her all the way, let all us autralians stick together and get her out.
I am totally shocked by today's verdict. If the Government does not
realise the implications for Australian/Indonesian relarions they need to think again. I for one will boycott all Indonesian products and obviously would not consider holidaying anywhere in Indonesia, especially Bali.
Schapelle Corby is innocent. If the judges took off their robes and became human again, they too would know in their hearts and in their heads that Schapelle is innocent. My thoughts and prayers are with Shapelle and her family.
i watched the verdict today and the result made me physically sick. I cried. How is it possible that the bali bomber got such a light sentence for MURDERING HUNDREDS and an innocent woman accused of DRUG SMUGGLING is sentenced to 20 years. The indonesian justice system is corrupt and a farce, the investigation was absolutely pathetic with most evidence for her innocence pushed aside and support from our government, and the statements made by the PM is a downright joke. Australians, it could be you or a loved one whos next in line for 20 years or worse yet the death penalty. Join in the fight to free Schapelle and BOYCOTT BALI.
After all Australia has done to help the people in indonesia with the bali bombing and after the tsumani it is an absolute disgrace for them to hand such as sentence down. My heart and prayers are with you, Schapelle. STAY STRONG

Howard urges Australians to accept Corby verdict
Prime Minister John Howard has urged Australians to accept the Corby verdict.
He says Australians must accept and understand that other countries will resent Australia telling them how to run their justice system.
"I think the entire nation feels for this girl," he said.
"We have to trust the Indonesian justice system.
"You can't help but feel for her but we have to respect the justice system of other countries.
"I do ask the Australian people to accept and understand that when Australians go abroad they are subject to the justice system of the countries they visit."
This is John Howards Bullshit. We will never, ever accept the corrupt Indonesian justice system or more to the point the bullshit verdict.
Shame on you John Howard you have sold us all out.
Lets Boycott Bali/Indo & have a protest March in each capital city marching to parliament house.
I cant believe this. How can she be given 20yrs, one theres no evidence to convict her and two the guy that bombed bali got 18mnths, its like they make it up as they go along. why would you smuggle dope into a country where its cheaper to buy it there anyway??
She is innocent!! look at all australia has done for bali and this is what they do back to us! i will never travel to bali anymore and will try stop anybody else to travel there again i am now strongly aganst this country its a terribe thing to happen to this poor innocent girl
I am at a loss for words....
I just heard the verdict and I feel completely shaken up by it. I can't even begin to imagine what Shapelle and her family are feeling right now. Shapelle has been through enough.....Bring her home NOW!!!!!
Schapelle please don't give up, I am praying for you and I hope that these bastards who did this will be found. Remember you are a child of god and very loved. Use this dreadful experience to help others.
I think if you are being charged for any crime in any country other tan your own you should be trialed and charged in that country under the laws you are a custom too.
How I wish I could do more than sign petitions! What a massive injustice. The Australian Government needs to do more - If it was there duaghter I am sure they would. Shame no Howard for telling us to accept the verdict. Would he if it was his son or daughter in the same position. For what its worth - you have so much love and support Schapelle. May God Be With You!!! xoxo
schapelle l will never give up hope for you. You are inocent and coming home to be with your family! stay strong shapelle us as australians will stick together and fight together to bring you home to your family. From this day onward for the rest of my life will never ever step foot in indonesia in my life shame on them you one minded heartless people. Schapelle is inocent!
I am absolutely devasted by the verdict, it's discusting it's disgraceful. The Indonesian governmetn is taking away her life, she is an Australian citizen and the Autralian government should do whatever it takes to bring her home. I can not believe how unjust their legal system is? May God set her free.

From this point on,i will boycott all indonesion products, and will never vist such a corrupt country.John Howard if something is not done ,you will have lost my vote.Schapelle and family our hearts are with you.Be strong.
What a complete farce, indonesia is so set on cracking down on drug traffickers to the point where they`re arrogantly disregarding any light of innocence in favour of making an example out of the accused by locking them away. 500 cases and not one acquitted kind of proves this. Schapelle has not been given a fair trial, bring her home!
Gio, NSW
Scapelle Corby doesn't deserve to be sentenced for this crime with the length of sentence been given to her. She should be brought home to a more civilised and fair system.
Regardless whether she is guilty or not (and I beleive she is innocent) 20 years in a balinese jail is NOT an adequate sentence. I believe the Australian Government should get involved.
what a stinking disgrace. need to have a mass protest in front of the indonesian embassy in canberra. there was no proof of her guilt - but there was no proof of here innocence, and that's what's wrong with Indo "justice" - guilty until proven innocent. How can our government "accept" a decision from a justice system that belongs in the 17th century. I will boycott everything Indonesian, from food to goods to travel until justice is served.
I am sure the australian government is not doing all it can. What if it had been John Howards daughter in this situation, Im sure we would have seen a different outcome. Bali thrives on tourism from Australia and jails our innocent. I am disgusted in how the Australian government will not unite with citizens in an obvious injustice decision. Do we remember the in indonesian responible for 200 deaths in the Sari club bombing ???? He got 3 years!!!!
Mr Howard, how can you look australians in the face!look at how australians are treated by the indoniesians.YOU are letting them run all over us knowing full well that good old johnny howard willsupport them in their times of difficultly and need, cut them off Mr Howard we do not need indoniesia, nor their ppl, politics or crazy religous groups. If ever you would lose support of your ppl it is now i dont trust you, noone i know trusts you,do something for your country BECOME A TRUE AUSTRALIAN!!!
I truly believe that Schapelle is absolutely NOT guilty. I have personally had my bags gone through in many airports and had many items stolen on many occassions. If one doesn't lock their bag, they run the risk of having stuff taken out and indeed having things put in. Afterall, whats the risk in it being found? They won't blame the person putting it in the bag, instead the person whose bag it is will get blamed. I completely and whole-heartedly believe this is what has happened here and I can't believe the judges can be so blind to bleetingly obvious mistake of not locking her bag. Goodluck to her and I hope those in 'charge' come to their senses sometime soon.
BOYCOTT BALI, better still BOYCOTT INDONESIA. I have never been to Bali and never plan too now. First there are the terrorists who deliberately target foreigners and particularly Australians in the Bali Bombings as well as other terrorist attacks at the Marriot etc. Then the perpetrators of these horrific crimes get away scot free. Australia rushes to their aid after the Tsunami and Earthquake and give them financial aid and support, and we get absolutely nothing in return from Indonesia. They won't even consider the considerable evidence contributing reasonable doubt on Schapelle's guilt. They want to jail for life an innocent girl for supposedly trying to smuggle 4 kg's of dope into Indonesia. The punishment, certainly does not fit the crime!Whilst there are many people in Indonesia who do deserve and need the help of Australia, until the attitude of the Indonesian government changes, Australian's need to send a clear message to the Indonesian government that we are not going to be their doormat. Tourism is their lifeblood, so if we hit them where it hurts, then maybe they will be prepared to reconsider their archaic laws and their treatment of foreigners.
my thoughts are with you at in your time of need I hope the Australian government honour you as a citizen with rights to help from Australia and that A Downer works harder then ever in moving hevean and earth to return you home safely to your family and fellow Australians
