As an Australian I cannot understand how this has been allowed to happen, especialy to an innoncent lady, the balineses government only gave 12months verdict to a the bali bomber who openly said he killed innoncent people, what is happening! John Howard do something and bring shapelle home.

The penalty is harsh compared to the yobbos, yahoos, bogun and boneheads who smoke pot. The cops should give a knuckle sandwich to anyone caught with dope. The users need to be put to death, not Schapelle. Its the dipsticks who smoke the stuff who create the demand.

The indonesian government may have given her a "light" sentance according to "their law" but she doesnt deserve 20 years in jail! She should at least be able to serve her sentance in Australia if anything.

I was falsely imprisoned for five days in another country and it was hell!! I was not even given the chance to make bail because I didn't speak the language and my government appointed attorney pled me guilty without consulting me. I got out and was very lucky.
Even if this woman committed a crime, the sentence is grossly unjust. And if she is innocent of all charges, then this is truly a travesty of justice and I, as an American, am in sympathy and support your efforts to free her.

Just watch the Indonesian travel and tourism industry suffer over this disgraceful decision. I cannot believe she has received a sentance that exceeds that of those Bali bombers, it's absolutely disgusting. We are all thinking of you and your family Schapelle, justice may take time but I feel sure it will be done.
