John Howard. A few months ago you asked the Asian Government for clemency (Sp) for an Asian born, Australian citizen who was found guilty of trafficking drugs and was about to face the death penalty. This gentlement was found to be trafficking drugs, admitted it and told how he was helping family members out of financial ruins...........NOW we have a beautiful, innocent women in a dirty cell, and you do nothing. There are so many people in the world who deserve life in prison, but Schapelle is not one of them. There are paedophiles in this country who walk free, because of lack of evidence. In Australia, a police officer recently told me that they would rather let a guilty man walk, than place an innocent man in jail. Its a pitty that as much as that is a catch 22 situation, that other countries dont have the same values. I always thought that you were inncocent until proven (proven being the operative word here) guilty.

It is a known fact that people are framed for drug smuggling. This fact has not even been taken into consideration with Schapelle. I belive that, unless you can prove that she was not framed, then she is innocent. They have no right to treat her this way. Bring Schapelle back home to Australia. Personally I would never travel to Bali. How dare they treat Australian's this way. We provide tourism to them and this is what we get in return. I will never travel to Bali now, out of principle.
Not all of us are convinced Schapelle Corby is innocent. In fact, more than a few wish than some noisy people on this forum keep their traps shut until the court hand down its decision.

I reside in the USA, but I feel the same way so many Aussies do, that Schapelle Corby is innocent, and is the unwitting victim of cannaibis planted in her boogie bag that drug runners somehow failed to intercept before she left Sydney for Bali. Schapelle does not appear to be a moron and only a moron would smuggle drugs into Indonesia. Therefore she is not guilty, according to Judge Shell.
It is inexcusable for our government not to have ensured Ms Corby's release. Seems to me that politics are getting in the way of common sense. Surely more can be done to secure her freedom?!
