Please stop and look at the facts, help an innocent young Australian, Schapelle Corby, come home. Please stop giving the Indonesian Government our money.
Barbara
I have already put an entry into this petition, and I thought I would have a look at some of the other responses, I am a bit suss on this idiot who keeps writing "she got what she deserves," it is like this person knows her personally and cant stand her. Maybe whoever this person is SET HER UP!Anyway despite this persons spitefulness She didn't get what she deserved!
schappelle was not given a fair trial!! it is so inhumane that she is being treated as she is, i just hope she gets a lot fairer trial when her appeal comes up!! all our hearts go out to you schappelle alll your fellow australians know you are innocent!!! as far as bali goes u will become a far more povety stricken country as a result for treating one of our australians as you have done with schappelle corby! also you should look in your own backyard at the drugs getting sold there! look how australia has helped your country & look at the great thanx you give us in return!!!!!!! SCHAPPELLE IS INNOCENT LET HER COME HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!
poor poor shapelle she didnt do anything free her.. the indoneasians should realise the contribution australia has give to them and free an innocent australian
I pray for her everyday and I know that god send his angels down to keep watch over her, Schapelle should be home because you can see that she is totally innocent because Why would she buy drugs and take it to Bail when she knew what would happen to her, so can’t you see that Schapelle is innocent. The judges that have given schapelle a 20 year nightmarish sentence should be in the jails of their society not schapelle because i truly believe this is an injustice to schapelle and her family. How can the Mastermind Bali bomber get away with 18 months witch killed many people and shcapelle gets 20 year for something that she didn’t do.
You are in my prays each day, god bless you schapelle
What has occured in this situation is an absolute DISGRACE. It is unfathomable to us, as a nation of caring people who support each other, to let Schappelle endure a punishment for a crime that cannot TRULY be proven. The girl is innocent. One has to simply look back at the history of the nature of corruption in Indonesian policy and justice to realise that SHE SHOULD NOT BE THERE. For many, many years Australians have supported (and FORGIVEN) Indonesia- it is time to make a stand. Bring Schappelle home, or Australia will never forgive again.
It is time Australians woke up to themselves and being "do gooders". These people do NOT care about us,in fact they hate us and are laughing all the way to the bank with our money and thinking what suckers we are.
I advise every Australian to boycott Bali and the rest of Indonesia.
Ex State Conferance President on your Campain McArthur NSW. Jim Camerons Asst. campain Director after death of Ron Heize. DO WE HAVE TO ARM OURSELVES AND BREAK HER OUT AS VIGILANTES ???
It is an absolute disgraace that the Aust Govt has let this happen. Only now do we the people of Aust get given plastic wrap for our luggage. SO WE CAN ALL HOPEFULLY PROTECT OURSELVES AND OUR FAMILIES when travelling. I for one - will never go to Bali ever ! Love, support and thought to Shapelle and her family.
Please bring schapelle home. You just need to look at her to know she is not guilty. The judge only looked at the Prsecutions side, he took in no facts that they did not finger print the bags or that there were no camera's in the room. Save her life
Oh My God...!!! how cruel are those indonesian people?? How can they give an innocent girl a 20 year prison sentence for something as insignificant as marijuana when the Bali bombers , who actually murdered people, get away scott free. They say 20 years isn't a life sentence, in my opinion it is.. she is a 27 year old woman, who in 20 years will be 47 years old. AT 47 you might no longer be able to have babies, or have a chance at a full and happy life, and as a mother of four great kids myself I could not even think about life without them let alone have three men take away my chance to ever give birth to them.Lets get her home soon.. she doesn't deserve a life like this. Our thoughts and prayers are with her :) Hang in there Schapelle
After EVERYTHING that Australia has done for the Indonesian people including Bali in help, hospitals, including a burns unit, ,water purifying systems raising millionsof dollars and the govt giving anothert Billion dollars etc etc, after all this ,all the Baliness people could do ,was cry out for the blood of a very obvious Innocent Australian citizen.
Typical of a people who hate white westerners.
In resent times Australians went to fight for justice for the Iraqi people and some lost their lives. Australians went to the aid of the Indonesian people during the time of the tsunami and some lost their lives. But worest of all, out of individual choice Australians go to support (hoilday, business, relief, donations) the economic system of of such a country that would continue to murder and diverstate the lives of Australian people.
Where is the justice for Schapelle and her family. Where are the Australians prepared to die for one of their own. What would it effect so much to make a stand for this girl? What are we so affraid of that we would stand by and whatch this girls life be distoryed by those whose system is against us all just as much as Iraqs was and it's right at our back door. When will "Little America" make it's stand. There is more that can be done for this girl and more should be done. Is there justice left anywhere? Who's idea justice is this? Bring the girl home she is Australian not Indonesian. The bomber is in his own home, 4 yrs for murder, murder of Australian's, shows how much that meant to them. The New Zealander's sent the France home after the bombing of the Rainbow Worrior. Why is it we always do the "right" things, so the people that really couldn't careless about anything can just do what they like as they laugh at us? And it is our people that get hurt, our people that suffer. Schapelle is Australian, Schapelle should have the same rights as any Australian, Schapelle should be entitled to the same concern and the same strong action as that would be provided any other Australian should they be in any other country other than Indonesia.
GET HER OUT OF THERE!!!!!
20 years for marijauna in a bag, likely not even hers, 2 years for murder (Bali Bomber) how is this right??!! Bring her home now!! Why do we need to have respect for another country's legal system when there is nothing about it to respect! Bali Bomber killed Aussies, and got two years, shows how much "respect" Indonesians have for Aussies!!
I believe that Schapelle should be brought home to Australia, as, in my opinion, she is an innocent victim in a Drug ring & because she did'nt lock up her Boogey Board, somebody unknown put those drugs in her Board Bag.
She doesn't belong in a dirty Bali prison, she belongs at home with her family.
Sometimes innocents suffer too. There will be a ban put on travel to Bali of Australians and you will lose a lot of money.
We were very kind to you during the Tsunami tragedy, please find it in your hearts to give Schapelle another change and let her come home.
Deborah Porter
After all the help and support we give Bali they lock up an Aussie who isn't proven to have been responsable for transporting a mild drug to their country. Yet a person who has been proven to be responsible for the deaths and wounding of many Aussie people gets off with a much lighter jail sentance. I think it is time Australians forget about Bali, cut off aid and no longer travel there - If they don't care about us, why should we continue to give to them. How can Australia support such a bias 'justice' system.
SHapelle should be allowed home. But please Aussies do not make the true balinese people suffer it's the Indonesian government that are responsible and they already punish the Balinese people, enough.
I pray for her everyday and know that God is looking after her, we have to do something also, the people in Bali do not respect any life other than their own, they hate christians and we have to band together and get her out of there NOW. may GOD bless you and keep his angels around you to keep watch over you.
As an American observer of this issue, it seems that a government who meets out small sentences to killers and huge sentences to foreign visitors who allegedly commit a crime, ought to rethink their penal system. What really bothers me is the lack of specific, conclusive evidence in the matter. I believe the Government of Australia should stand behind this woman and use the aid needed as leverage. Surely, one hand helps the other. Personally, I sense a severe lack of compassion and equity on the part of this country's misguided judicial system and will donate no more to their Tsunami aid.
Schapelle should be home and in her own enviroment, she is totally innocent, the indonesian government and the judges that have given schapelle a 20 year nightmarish sentence should be in the jails of their society not schapelle. I truly believe this is a total injustice to schapelle and her family, friends, supporters and fellow australians. How can a mass murderer get 18 months and schapelle get twenty where is the justice in that oh wait hes indonesian Schapelle is australian, Bali or the country indonesia will never see me as a visitor nor will I send money for any other cause to this country. This is a total disgrace, Schapelle and to your family we are behind you one million percent our thoughts, love and prayers are all heading your way, they may have won this battle but the sure as hell have not won the war we will. BRING SCHAPELLE HOME!!
god bless you schapelle try very hard to hang in if you are strong you will do it but most of all you will hang in there because you are innocent the facts are there and noticing the huge amount of people backing you up all the way wishing we could do heaps more it also is quite clear just how much people are behind you believe you by the way travellers are having their luggage tapped so nobody can put anything in be strong you are innocent.
you need to make this site known to the americans. i will never go to bali ,they will lose alot because of this.i just cant get over this . it could happen to anyone of us. i live in florida usa. i know how much we depend on our visitors and the almighty buck. hit them where it hurts
Can you imagine a Judge in Australia arrogant enough to make the comment 'I have tried 500 drug cases and never aquited one' Do you think he would have a job, if the judicial hierarchy didn't get him public opinion and the press certainly would. Yes Mrs. Corby you are right Schapelle was guilty in the eyes of these Judges when she got off the plane. They might as well have slept through the 'trial' the amount of notice they took of what was presented. Now this publicity hungry man is making sarcastic comments about the defence....when will the Indonesian authorities put a gag on this arrogant idiot.
she should be freed and returnred to australia - this is a most unfair and unjust punishment for a young woman who has her whole life infront of her for something that has so many (?) attached and not answered. Send her home.
Free Schapelle Corby. The Indonesians are a law unto themselves. According to the news, there own prison officers sell drugs to the prisoners, what a joke. Why aren't they in jail?
Schapelle is innocent. I will never go to Bali, ever. I will never vote for you John Howard, unless you bring her home and stop pandering to the Indonesian Government. Show some balls.
I am appalled at the injustice of the 20 year sentence that Ms Corby was given.
Bashir gets two and a half years in jail for plotting to kill Australians and Indonesians and Ms Corby gets 20 years, for failing to put a lock on her luggage.
How is that justice?
John Howard is quick to give hard earned taxpayers money to Indonesia for the Tsunami appeal. (Who got the pat on the back, not the taxpayers “Good on you Johnny”).
How about helping the people who provided the money in the first place. When they need a helping hand.
I am disappointed and angered at the lack of government intervention.
And John Howard asks the Australian people to accept the verdict…
Johnny you need to rethink the policies for Australians. (Do you help them or turn your back?)
If it’s the latter then retire and get the hell out of government.
And as far as Indonesia and Bali goes, I will be boycotting both and many of my family, friends and associates will be doing the same. The Bali Bombing did it for me but Schapelle puts the icing on the cake.
My final word to Indonesia and Bali, if this is how you treat Australians, then give back the money we donated. Charity begins at home, with Australians.
