Were there any good bands taking place in the britpop movement of the mid-90's? Now they all seem to have fallen away. Britpop bands include blur, oasis, suede, pulp, elastica, soem might say radiohead, and a bunch of others

I like a lot of britpop, but i'd say of the era you're talking you probably listen the best. plus the verve. and a few others people have mentioned. lots of goodies come out of britain!

I cant seem to able to compare Blur to Oasis, Pulp to The Verve, The Verve to Blur or Pulp to Oasis, it's more of The Verve vs Oasis and Blur vs Pulp, even I cant compare the bands, I can only compare their work, when it comes to Oasis, only Definitely Maybe does it for me, the other albums are rewritten songs from Definitely Maybe, that's one relevant album from Oasis, I like Storm in Heaven from The Verve, Northern Soul less and Urban Hymns less than Northern Soul, still, The Verve's music varies more Than the one from Oasis, the winner is obvious, Blur music is smarter, I like Parklife, Modern life is rubbish and the great Escape as well, the rest is not as good to me and all of their albums aren't as good as Different class or His and Hers by Pulp, for me , it's Pulp and The Verve, Blur music is still smarter than those few songs from Oasis, so.. I'd say 1.Pulp, 2.The Verve with Blur close behind and Oasis unrated
