I absolutely agree that Mtv is being a bit unfair with playing older videos generally. Not only BSB videos but others too. BSB deserves to have their older videos shown.

we need bsb on mtv. its rediculous that mtv is tryin to stop them from succeding a second time around. we need to give them the credit they deserve. and wut the hell is the point of voting for our fav music videos if mtv is still gonna choose and have control over what videos make it on air.

I've been a fan of the Backstreet Boys and TRL since '98, back when it was simply Total Request. Total Request is the reason why I AM a Backstreet fan and to tune into what used to be my favorite t.v. show and not see what is still my favorite musical group is just heartbreaking.

TRL? I don't really understand why the R in the name of the show even exists. Thousands of viewers have requested BSB, but you decide you don't want pop music to become popular again? Believe it or not MTV, you don't hold the power to the music industry, and you not playing pop music, including boy bands such as BSB is not going to stop them from being successful. It's really a shame how much disrespect you have for the boys. They helped TRL become as huge as it is today, and what do they get in return? Treated like garbage. The disrespect you have for your fans is also disgusting, they waste their time voting for the artists THEY want to see, and you decide you don't feel like showing them?
I really hope you weren't planning on getting away with this MTV... BSB Fans are the greatest fans out there, and you will be very sorry of your decision.

I think it is wrong that you won't air Backstreet Boys' videos, when they were one of the main reasons TRL became so popular. The Backstreet Boys are the reason I watched MTV. All the shows on it now, suck. Since you refuse to air BSB's videos, I guess I'll watch VH1. They have much better shows anyway!
How dare you refuse to play the backstreet boys videos. If you want to refuse to play something why don't you start with the black eyed peas or some other group with no musical talent. I'm outraged to hear that MTV isn't playing bsb anymore and am therefore suspending and futher veiwing of the channel in my home. You all are just a bunch of pompus assholes.

if fans vote for them, then put them on! obviously people want them on MTV, so put them on! its what voting is for, so we can listen to them! we want them on there, were taking our time out to vote for them constantly just so we can hear and see them on there and support them, so dont ignore our votes! backstreets back, get over it.

I'm not too sure how true all of this is... but, if it IS in fact true... let's remember that the "R" in "TRL" stands for REQUEST... as in requests from music lovers all over. The Backstreet Boys are awesome; they've come such a long way & have paved the way for all other "pop" artists to break out into the open. Not many artisits can make a come back like they have, not only gaining new fans' respect, but as well as holding onto the fans that have been with them since the beginning. They deserve some credit here! Play the video!
Everyone should have a fair chance at being played....if it's not requested then don't play it...otherwise ur just plain stupid for not playing music that ur VIEWERS want to see!
