I am completely shocked, MTV plays pop all the time. What is Kelly Clarkson and Beyonce??? They are POP. Backstreet Boys were one of the first bands associated with TRL. I thought MTV was designed FOR the people, not what the MTV executives want!
How dare MTV try and decide what everyone should be listening to. We live in America for a reason, we get to voice are opinion and get to listen to whatever we want. BSB is the best group ever and they are the whole reason TRL is so popular.
the backstreet boys DESERVE to be on mtv. they're good enough and their music and videos are much better than a lot of artists on there right now. mtv needs to cut the crap and put on the music that is being voted for.
MTV doesn't play real music, thats why they won't play the backstreet boys. MTV has just given in to the mass majority of reality TV shows and stupidity. BACKSTREET BOYS rock, they always have and will forever.
I dont know what MTV tries to do ,but i will pray that they don't succed , they should remember that Backstreet Boys were and still are something very strong in music industry.Since when MTV does what he wants.I thought that we live in a democratic world and we are free to listen what we want and nobody should provide us from that.They should remember what BSB have done for them in the past, now they are totaly unfair ,there are many artist that don't deserve to be on MTV but the play them , and in exchange they now refuse to play BSB who are a big name in music, and have such a very good music then other "artists".What they do is totally unfair they are providing us from our rights , and we should wake them up because they are not alone in the univers.

maybe sometimes we act a bit crazy but we are not stupid, we know well and understand what is going on, we are not guilty for searching a way to change things. To the staff of MTV:
You will experience a public relations nightmare if this gets out to the press. How can you call your show TRL "Total Request Live" and not count all of your votes? How can you block a certain video from being voted? You're worried about a pop explosion? That's not for you to worry about or decide. This show is - or at least WAS - about the fans. If the Backstreet Boys fans swamp you guys with votes then so be it. Those fans are trying harder than other fans. If you're so worried about the show being dominated by the Backstreet Boys (circa 1998-2000), then change the voting system again. I don't see the logic in allowing hip hop artists with their half-naked women and raunchy lyrics make it on the countdown while you leave out the Backstreet Boys. Then again, I don't see the point in TRL showing the videos for no more than one minute.
I have a question MTV what are you going to do when all your ratings go down? When the word gets out that TRL is rigged? I think you should start playing them a little more often than you have been

OMG. How can you do this?? I will find anyway to get them put on your show. I have been a fan for 10 years. they started TRL. RAP is fading out. the only reason why it is still around is because MTV is forcing it in peoples faces. HOw can you watch the same video over and over again?? Does MTV not recall when there was no TRL, but instead some unknown show called "MTV Live"...I do. I also recall 5 young men who call themselves the "Backstreet Boys" making an appearance that changed the way young music lovers viewed MTV. Shortly thereafter TRL was born....and what fans were the loudest, the craziest, the most loyal, through storms, rain, snow, etc....it was us the Backstreet Fans!! By you refusing to play a very much requested video because you don't like it, is like biting the hand that feeds you. If you haven't already, you will lose tons more viewers. MUSIC IS FREEDOM!
