MTV should be ashamed of themselves, not only for serving as terrible role models for impressionable young people who watch the horrific videos that they play, but also for not playing moral and feel-good videos like those of the Backstreet Boys. This is not the first time MTV tryed to stop a pop artist/group. In 2002 the didnt want to play Christina Aguilera because of baring a lil skin but yet they can play Britney Spears , Jessica Simpson, Ciara, and everyone else the bares MORE skin then Christina.

TRL Total Request Live is suppost to be what the viewers want. We choose the count down. We stay up all night to request our favorite singer/bad no matter what gender of music their in. TRL is not what its suppose to be. You guys are being unfair not only to BSB (and all the other pop artist) but to your viewers.

This coming from a network that is supposed to be diverse and turn away from prejudices, I think this shows immaturity on the part of all those who wish to not play an artist because of personal and/or professional reasons. I am a fan in which the word genre holds no meaning, I listen to everything. I listen to Mariah Carey, Eminem, Sum 41 and everyone in between. I would rather hear thought provoking lyrics than one in which violence is the main lyrical context and is linked to a video with hoards of females in little to no clothing shaking everything that they have, which in turn has nothing to do with the song it portrays.
