This is rediculous. Although I'm not a huge fan of BSB, I do like a good bunch of their songs. Refusing to play them because they're too "pop"-esque is an outrage. I, myself, am a huge fan of the pop genre. What do you think Kelly Clarkson is? Rock? She's like Pop-Rock.. Hilary Duff surely isn't anything short of pop, neither is Lindsay Lohan... so what's the big freaking deal?! ... stupid people.

I grew up on TRL, mostly because the backstreet boys where on the countdown. They had the first video to ever need to be retired because you guys at MTV couldnt handle it being number one all the time. I continued to watch, even when bsb was taking a break. I am so shocked and upset to hear how you run your "business". I will never watch mtv again and neither will any other backstreet fan. vh1 will prevail.
How dare TRL not play BSB just because they don't like pop. MTV should go back to its roots anyway, and get more pop. I for one don't watch anymore because of lack of pop. To me unless it's pop it's crap. BSB are popular. I would think you'd want popular music. Why leave the pop fans and artists out? It only makes me want to boycot TRL and MTV.

So, why exactly call it Total Request Live if requests mean nothing to you? If all of the Backstreet Boys fans turn our backs on MTV, you know how many viewers you're going to lose, and when the media gets wind of the fact that a major music network is purposely ignoring a group just because they don't want a certain type of music coming back...what are you going to have to say then?
I was very enraged when I heard that Mtv would no longer play BSB anymore. I do not understand why this is so? BSB has made TRL and Mtv for what it is today. I just find it VERY disrespectful to the BSB and their devoted fans. So please Mtv put the BSB back on Mtv.
