I think Mtv should play any and all video no matter what type of muisc it is, all sorts of poeple like all sorts of muisc, and for Mtv to choose not to show the backstreet boys video is just plain stupid on there hafe.

Let's look into Backstreet history, who was the break through artist for Britney, Christina, Nsync, Otown ect.? Who has had to play second fiddle to Nsync because of Favortism? Who is getting ignored by Mtv and TRL because they don't want another pop explosion causing a "Pandora's Box"? Oh yeah Backstreet. Can someone tell Mtv that they just opened the box they were so afraid of opening?
I have no idea what this is about, but this petition should have been proofread before it was published. Backstreet fans are already perceived as silly girls who just like to scream for cute boys, and now this error-riddled petition is supposed to be taken seriously? Yes, MTV should play the Backstreet Boys music, since apparently they aren't. (Again, no clue what this is about.) But come on. This is not going to convince anyone.
Mtv should not stifle the backstreet boys or us fans, play their music just like any other artist, be fair not a fraud. We request there video every day and you are obviously rigging things and we have been told that you refuse to play their music anymore thinking they are not good enough or too old for mtv viewers or to stifle pop music. You will not beat us, there is power in numbers and we are passionate to have bsb succeed which is what they deserve for their talents. Dont be dictators of trends and music. The fact that you (at the company) pick and choose what YOU do/don't want on the show is downright sickening! If the viewers want to see the video, then it should be on the show, bottom line. The Boys have been a great asset to your show, and with out them, it really wouldn't have taken off like it did. They have done so much for modern music. They made it what it is today. You don't have to like them, but you have to respect them for what they do!

MTV earned a lot of money in the past thanks to the Backstreet Boys. They had a lot of viewers and now they are bitching over one of their biggest cash cows. I do not understand this. It is an unacceptable boycot of them. We'll see what the rest of the world thinks of MTV.
We need to remember that Mtv may actually have good reasons for not wanting to play Backstreet...oh wait they haven't given them a chance, they have rigged TRL so BSB's videos don't get played.

mtv must RESPECT what its audience wanna see. ditature? maybe obviously, mtv influences many people, but the backstreet boys'll be successful anyway. just compare their history on disk (mtv brazil), trl (mtv italia), etc. compare and see who the audience chose to see.
i'm from brazil and they are still on charts with INCOMPLETE. incomplete, since three months ago. not just on mtv, but on radios too and the most important: still on the top. 'never gone' is the #4 album here, #1 just among internacional artists.
today is howie's birthday (08/22). mtv brasil has a program called videoclash and everybody was against them: seether feat. amy lee, linkin park feat. jay z, strokes, p.o.d, thalia, blink 182. who were the winners? the backstreet boys. all the 'fights' more than 80% to the boys. if it was mtv usa, not because of their fans, because of you.
i thought mtv was a music television. music isn't just hip hop, 50 cent and stupid girls dancing. you know the boys are back like they 'left' years ago, that's why you're so afraid. thanks. they boys will be very proud.
