I think people shouldn't be ignorant, and the media should blame the deed, not the breed. just becasue there are some bad owners out there who can't take care of their dogs right doesn't mean hearts should be broken.

i have two pit's and 10 grand childeran that play with them thay are the most loveabul dogs i find it apaling that dog's would be band and killed just becouse some pepole don't deserve to have a pet it's not the dog but the owner who should be punished
This is total rubbish..Pit Bulls are banned in most parts of Australia (could be all now..not sure) and for what..irresponsible bastards turning their dogs into monsters and killing it for the real dog owners.So when the pit bulls are all gone..they will just start on another breed..which will it be next time? Rotties? Or even German Shepherds...who bloody knows...as long as tunnel visioned beaurocrats have an axe to grind the innocent will always suffer...

People are the ones that make a dog mean. It's not just the dogs fault for thier behavior. I got bit by a black lab once, the government didn't want to kill off that breed.

We have a staffy called Fred he is closely related to a pitt bull and he has never hurt a fly. we also had another staffy before him who was as soft as a brush my children grew up with him.

there is two sides to a leash the owner tell the pit to attack cause they a rasied to attack on command. but most pitbulls are loving and affeconet to there owners and love people. its not the breed its the owner.all dogs have teeht and can bite.
Pet owners should be held accountable for what their pets do. It's not always the animals fault. Another thing if parents would teach their children not to tease dogs through a fence, some of these "incidents" wouldn't hapen.
I don't think that the people who put this in have ever raised a Pit Bull in any form. They are not inherently mean. They are taught to be mean, just like our children.

there are an average of 3 people killed each year by pit bulls....dont u think we could find something alot better to ban other that a dog? that is just whats wrong with this place...everyone lives in fear. we got terrorists who wanna completly wipe the u.s. off the map and they are still worried about a dog attack....GET REAL.
