I support this Petition. I own a Boxer, and she is probably the best dog i've ever had in my life. She is well behaved and gentle with people of all ages. She would never hurt anyone!
I give my complete and utter support for this petition. My mom is the Northwest Ohio Rep. for Canine Advocates of Ohio. Check out the site by searching on the web. (Can't put links in comments).
We are working to get Tom Skeldon out of office and enact a dangerous doq ordinance that includes no breed specific legislation.
My siblings and I have been raised with american pitbull terriers all our lives, and they make absolutely wonderful pets. They're smart, protective, loving animals with a desire and motivation to please like no other. Last year my boyfriend had a four wheeler wreck, and if it weren't for his pitbull freaking out at the window, I wouldn't have known he was laying outside with a burst blood vessel in his brain. Because of his dog, I found him in time to rush him to the hospital before his brain swelled and killed him. So punish the deed, not the breed!
I support this petition. stereotyping dog breeds is just like stereotyping people. It's basically racism - just because they're dogs doesn't make it right. Every dog has a chance to be perfectly decent, sweet, and loving. It's the people who own the dog that determine if that's how they turn out
I support this petition. Also, I disagree with anyone who tries to advocate what type of pet a person is allowed to have. Who the hell decided goldfish were so great? Is the BSL trying to get canines put on the Endangered Species List?
I support this petition. I have owned my 3 year old Blue/White female since she was a puppy. She loves my kids and sleeps with my cats. Three days ago, I adopted a deaf white pit bull that is about 5 months old. I love this breed! People need to understand it is the irresponsible owners that they should be afraid of, not the breed of dog. The same irresponsible owners will only get another breed and destroy it's reputation as well!
I hate what they are trying to do to pitbulls and the many other dogs on the list. If we all stick together we can beat this thing once and for all! BAN BSL
Prior to these control junky decision makers trying to rule our lives, the APBs were the #1 family dog out of all dog breeds. According to reputable dog breed encyclopedias, cockers are the #1 most biting dogs. BAN TRYING TO RULE OUR LIVES UNTIL YOU LIVE OUR LIVES- e.g., TRY IT YOU MAY LIKE IT, like RESCUE A PIT BULL AND SEE FOR YOURSELVES! Why take experienced dog owners' words for it? Your opinion is formed by your experiences, eh? So go out and experience a pit bull who hasn't been brainwashed by the Michael Vicks in the world. I challenge you to allow our favorite breed to enter into your "loving" home. If it's not a loving home, don't get any animal, especially a pit bull.
Realizing BSL is still being considered, I am stunned at the ignorance of the American People. We preach freedom, but we have none... We call this a free land?? Those in charge of BSL need to spend more time on educating themselves on dog breeds, or perhaps on banning certain types of owners.
I support this petition. I honestly believe it is the owner NOT the breed. Having owned a rottweiler for nine years if treated like a pet/part of a family, they are gentle GIANTS. Simply the best dog.
Ban BSL!!! it is getting to the point where you are stopped by people and getting calls from people stating that your dog is a threat to the area. I have two pits and mine are big babies and love people and kids of all ages. they sleep with the kids to watch over them while they sleep. never shown aggression to anything or anybody.
it is not the dog that is mean it is the people that train the dog to be mean. my family has had several pitts and they never once tried to bite anyone. thats because they were raised with love and as part of the family not fight or attack. ban the idiots not animals.
