Kindergarten teacher who is heartbroken by infertility. Couples who need this coverage are couples who truely want a family, not just people that get knocked up for the monthly check, which the state covers, or people who use abortions as birth control which the state also covers. PLEASE help dreams come true to those who really value them.
i agree!there are insurance companies that willingly help those you want not to be a parents. what about those individuals that want children. to share a childs love..??
Insurance companies have no problem helping people who don't want to be parents. Well what about those of us who dream about being parents, and having a family? Do we not count?
because infertility is a medical condition. If an insurance company will provide coverage for abortions, they should help to pay for infertility diagnosis and treatment.
I support this petition because infertility is a medical condition. It has been shown that women who do not conceive have higher risks of some cancers and the emotional/financial tole it takes on some women is a whole other condition it creates. It isn't fair that insurance companies/employers cover contraception and things like erectile disfunction, but won't carry infertility. Please change the laws!
Being a parent is a fundamental human right. Infertility is a treatable medical condition. It is shameful that insurance does not cover EVERYTHING, considering that IVF, GIFT, ICSI, etc are well-researched and documented medical procedures that have been approved in the US to treat a medical condition, infertility.
we have been dealing with infertility for the last 3 years. The treatments cost SO much money :( Infertility is a disease. All I ever wanted is to be a mom. Now my heart is completely broken. It is ridiculous that insurances pay for penile disfunction, but not for infertility treatment.
i support this petition due my own personal problems. we as hard working people pay the insurance companies every paycheck to cover us that why we do have insurance and for them to not cover there is no use in them having so much money taken out of our paychecks if they will not cover. life is already hard not being able to live with knowing you have complications, but to hassel with the insurance company just to deny you of any help is simple pathetic.
many women had gone thru great depression and melt downs because of this. I highly support this petition, knowning that I am not one of these women but I feel there pain and agony. Lets no see cost higher then a parents happiness and love for a new life.
I have yet to be able to find health insurance that covers infertility. And even if the insurance wouldn't cover IVF I think it should at least cover all tests, bloodwork, medicatations etc up until a couple decided to do IVF. It can cost thousands of $$ just to get to that point. I myself have spent about $5000 and I haven't even taken any infertiltiy drugs yet.
I support this petition. I had to go through IVF and understand the finacial burden it places on a couple trying to conceive. After many cycles of infertility treatment through my health insurance (that were unsuccessful), they informed me that when I decided to do IVF they would not cover anything. At least if they would have offered to cover the medications it would have saved us some money. I feel this is a very important issue that needs to be addressed.
I support this petition.because i feel that the insurance companies are not allowing us to have another child, but how great they support tubal ligation.its all about the money.
If the right people are seeing this, know that I am a mother- I just can't have a child. We've tried IVF 3 times and can't afford another try. It's almost like having your own child die- only that child exists only in my broken heart.
