It has come to our attention that there is an Extreme Makeover casting call for Connecticut. We have a friend from Ridgefield, CT that can really use our help. She, I and many others have already replied to the casting call and now we need your help.

The family: Jody and George Carfi have two children, a son and daughter. Their son EJ was diagnosed with a skin disorder that is painful and needs constant care. Jody and George must give EJ constant care for his constant wounds. They have put everything in their life to the side, i.e. finishing building their home to make it safe and secure for their family. I feel one of the only ways to create a proper safe environment for EJ and to make Jody and George's life less complicated would be an Extreme Makeover. This family has worked very hard to raise awareness and give EJ and his sister everything they can, but things just seem to pile up, as we know that can happen when having a child with a disability, and now I am hoping we can help them even more. EJ is a beautiful, high-spirited little boy that has a zest for life that keeps his incredibly loving family going.

What EJ has: Epidermolysis Bullosa Patients have skin as fragile as a butterfly wing which can blister at the slightest touch even from a mothers cuddle. Normal day-to-day life can cause constant pain and scarring, which, in the worse forms, leads to eventual disfigurement, disability and often early death. More info at www.EBinfoworld.com.
