I THINK THAT kids from the age of 8-14 shouldget allowance. i have come up with a chart for differnt chores and how much they are worth :P

Taking out TRASH!!!: $0.75 each time
Washing Dishes: $1.50 each time cause we know mom hates it :P
Making Bed morning and nite: $0.75 each of the 2 times
Mopping the floor: $0.50 every 2 feet
Washing Toilet: $2.55 cuz thts sick! every time
Scrubbing b-room floor: $1.00 every 2 feet
cooking dinner: $2.00 a person
Mowing Lawn: $0.10 a inch + $1.00 every 2 feet
Recycleing: half of what they get and the other half to parents for driving
