I vehemently support this petition. Please bring back Ms Charbonneau, Mr Goth, and Ms Solmes. They are dearly missed and those shows are uniquely and distinctly Canadian.

After 40 years of my radio being permanently tuned to CBC Radio 2 I now hardly ever turn it on. In our rural area there was no other station that catered to classical fans and now there is none at all.

I also would ditto the same for the programs which you have removed since the beginning of September. I used to listen to CBC non stop and now I can't believe what I hear. The harshest change was to Tom Allen's morning show, but eliminating Yurgan and the others was also harsh. I am so disappointed. Please restore CBC to its glory days. Thank you.
I am so very disappointed with the changes made to CBC Radio 2, especially Tom Allen in the AM who used to ease me into my workday commute with his wonderful classical music and Jurgen Goth who helped me decompress on my way home. I don't bother to turn on the radio anymore...
I support this petition. Specifically, I want Disc Drive back and classical music in the mornings. Who killed Radio 2? It is not recognizable as public broadcasting.
I support this Petition. Please tell me these changes aren't permanent. I no longer listen to CBC 2 in any shape or form. It has nothing of interest or value for me.
I support this petition. The new programming, introduced in september, is simply appaling. I simply feel angry and cheated by the dumbdown move towards mediocrity.
I've tried to be fair: I gave the new programming a month's listening, hoping to find worthy benefits to counter the obvious losses. There were none. The new format is a disaster, well-nigh unmitigated. No doubt CBC programmers and on-air staff have the best of intentions, and hope to enliven Radio Two with new and more varied material. Sadly, we have ‘gained’ mainly the mediocre and derivative, and have lost much that was superb and original. Restore first, then renew and extend in carefully-tested increments, not ill-advised revolution.
I support this petition. As well, I miss the classical music early morning show, that used to be choreographed by Tom Allen, every weekday morning. I used to think I was gaining an education in classical music appreciation, during my daily drive to work. I used to listen to Jurgen Goth's "Disc Drive" on the drive home. Now, anything from anywhere can be playing on the radio. It is distressing that such enjoyable radio shows are gone. Please reinstate them!
I support this petition. We suggest that Jugen Goth be re-institated. Julie Nesrallah is a good singer, but bad host. Others are much worse. Richard Surnberg should be fired.
I support this petition. I think it's disgraceful that our national broadcaster should deprive us of our morning and evening classical music programs in order to cater to an audience that has umpteen other channels in which to find all types of music other than classical. PLEASE bring back our classical music, and the marvellously knowledgable Eric Friesen, and even Jurgen Goth - who I never liked, but is infinitely preferable to what is now being aired.
I support this petition. I am an American who listened regularly to CBC 2. No more. The "new" CBC 2 sounds like any other American station. Bring back Music and Company, and DiskDrive. I know that Jurgen Goth has been at it a long time, bur I am sure that there are talented Canadians who could take it over, if given a chance.
