Austin and Carrie are my grandmothers favorite characters. She has been watching religiously since the show first aired. This will greatly dissapoint her.
Days needs Christie, with the departure of Salem's other sweetheart Melissa Reeve some one needs to have that personality and as much as I love Hope and Sammi's characters they just are not it.
so many old Days of Our Lives fans began watching the show again only because Carrie and Austin were brought back on the show. With the two of them off the show, Days of Our Lives will definitely lose so many fans once again. With the new writer, I'm sure the Carrie/Austin storyline will not only keep the older fans happy, but will also bring in several new fans!
I have been a fan for years and some of the new changes are good, but some of them are definitely not in the best interest of the fans. You need to keep the characters that keep your fans coming back. Carries was just brought back to the show, why let her go?
Christie Clark is like a staple on Days. She's grown up on the show, and I think I speak for all true Days fans when I say, "Put Carrie & Austin together already! They both deserve to be happy finally!"
Christie Clarke is one of the charactors that brought me back to days as a loyal fan. It's always good to seeing staying power, that is what makes this show so compelling and believable.
Class cannot be replaced nor taken away so quickly when the show was loosing its 'rare finds' to characters like Mimi Brady. Keep Christie Clark as Carrie, the show will benefit greatly from us old timers... since 1976 !
I grew up with Christie Clark as Carrie Brady and I was thrilled when she came back, and now this new head has made plans to write her off....This is a joke, KEEP CHRISTIE IN SALEM!
This writer is stupid to let Carrie go, I quit watching when she left many years and only started watching again when I heard she was back on the show.
Carrie has been on the show for 20 years on and off- and since childhood. This is very rare for ANY soap opera star, as most stars these days use soapps as a launching pad for bigger things. She's a great actress as well, but needs better stories- it's not her fault that her stories have been dull this year.
There are way to many "unnecessary characters that could be let go besides these 2. Try Bonnie, Chelsea and for that matter "Pop" Shawn Brady. Let Caroline get with Victor.
