26 Apr 2005 - 18:10 Peter Ray : Chatter encourages people to get involved through the website and then to join and get active in person. It is a treasure - leave it alone! |
26 Apr 2005 - 18:00 Boogiefool : It was Chatter that first gave me an interest in joining. Not sure why a function that was instrumental in several people joining would be removed. |
26 Apr 2005 - 4:53 Donna Chapman : We should not have to explain why we want the chatter section. Instead those opposed should explain why we should NOT have it. I for one can not think of any valid reason why the chatter section should be deleted. Can you? |
12 Apr 2005 - 23:29 Fat Willy : Why did it go, sadly missed best bit. |
9 Apr 2005 - 5:49 Phssthpok : For me, much of the originality has gone from the Chatter Forum and, if I wanted to read reams of right-wing rhetoric, I'd buy the Daily Mail. It needs changing, and quickly. |
8 Apr 2005 - 4:11 silver fox : we all need to say something sometime, like it or not. But the right of free speech gives freedom to all.Hands off please |
3 Apr 2005 - 2:41 (Harley) Derek Wilson : Leave Chatter alone please, or I for one won't be on the site half as much as I am. |
31 Mar 2005 - 5:56 chrisroadking : it was because of chatter i joined |
31 Mar 2005 - 1:45 little dave : I agree, it's what it's all about, folk with the same interest talking about it. |
31 Mar 2005 - 0:08 Doug Wilcox (uggy) : As far as I am concerned chatter is part and parcel of of the club. Without it we could be seen as just another stuffy old motorcycle club- leave it as it is |
30 Mar 2005 - 19:19 Neil Harris : It's good, it's what we want - keep it ! |
30 Mar 2005 - 2:43 Gray Bassett : Club Rule changes should only be introduced after debate and by general consensus. |
30 Mar 2005 - 1:04 Foby : You can never please everyone all of the time but if it pleases the majority leave it alone!!!! |
29 Mar 2005 - 16:12 Magick : Chatter is the reason I joined HDRCGB - it is brilliant and makes my work day go quicker - leave it alone!! |
29 Mar 2005 - 15:04 Barrie Reid : We have got to go forward. Its good to have reservations about any new idea but fear and paranoia are more destructive than any damage that this could possibly achieve. Lack of communication was cited as a cause of our most recent problem !nuf said! |
29 Mar 2005 - 3:51 mad_q : leave it alone ... I don't contribute that much due to work constraints - but it gives me a much needed boost when work gets me down!!! Its gotta stay!!!! |
29 Mar 2005 - 1:16 ralph : leave it alone, bollox is the only thing i understand |
28 Mar 2005 - 15:27 kim hopkins : I can't believe this is serious, a real sign of the times, the insipid drip, drip, drip of censorship encroaching on all our lives. I need a full frontal labotomy to have something in common with those who cannot understand the merit of debate and healthly argument |
28 Mar 2005 - 4:02 GrumpyGit : What? No chatter? No way! |
28 Mar 2005 - 0:59 Turtle : Undemocratic censorship - leave well alone! Listen to your members or risk loosing them. |
28 Mar 2005 - 0:21 Rob Lemon (SPIDER) : if it ain't broke, don't fix it |
27 Mar 2005 - 23:45 postie : leave the chatter on as I think it does add interest to the site & the membership |
27 Mar 2005 - 19:52 Groundhog : Inseperable part of the club, which binds people who have not even met across the country, has spurned a very successful out of rally season users party, where people with posted contrasting views shared a great weekend together without incident. Its sad some people dont want to live in the 21st century. As Patricks country men would say:- Liberte,Egalite,Fraternit e. Groundhog. |
27 Mar 2005 - 17:48 lambo : far to much is taken away ,leave chatter alone please |
27 Mar 2005 - 17:25 Olga : Leave chatter alone. What happened to choice? We are all adults!(allegedly) Besides that it lightens my day! |
27 Mar 2005 - 14:24 sparky883 : chatter was a major reason for me joining up prior to my membership application and will be a great loss to others if moved. Leave it be thats my vote |
27 Mar 2005 - 3:23 Chelle : Chatter is the best place for forum users to just relax and share opinions. Plus it is the only way some people keep in contact.Save Chatter!!! |
27 Mar 2005 - 1:13 Terror Fish : Leave chatter where it is please or face the prospect of the loss of a lot of members |
26 Mar 2005 - 22:29 anthony keating : no chatter= less members |
26 Mar 2005 - 21:57 Hawgste : I say NO leave it alone. I've new friends on the site and believe that it does draw in potential new members. |
26 Mar 2005 - 18:43 -sweet-16- : what would be the point of moving the chatter section? if you move it we will lose all the friendly banter???? |
26 Mar 2005 - 18:36 Bogus( Angus Cramp) : leave it well alone ,the chatter section is an important part of the riders web site. |
26 Mar 2005 - 18:12 Mag Roche : Move Chatter away from the club site and be prepared for hundreds of members to lose interest in the club. There's enough intelligence and strength of feeling here to set something else up. Be careful! |
26 Mar 2005 - 17:10 Spice ( Robert Spicer) : it is only through the website and not the quin that I keep up to date with the club. the website and in particular the chatter section. is a very important part of the club. and to change this would be detrimental to the clubs disadvantage. just look how popular the web party was, this was arranged through chatter on the web site leave well alone please. |
26 Mar 2005 - 16:57 Bruno Katz : In the true tradition of talking bollox, i could never find another website where people actually beleive that i flew in combat over the trenches in WW1, as the good folks on here know i did. Chatter has given myself and many others the chance to express their eccentricities and strange quirks and fantasies! Leave well alone or i`ll join HOG! |
26 Mar 2005 - 16:51 Sue Manning : Keep it where it is - put a disclaimer at the top. Its people talking to people - we all have different views - if we didn't we would be called robots! |
26 Mar 2005 - 16:21 Kev Whelan : Leave chatter where it is and let Roger carry on with the brilliant job he is doing. KEEP YER HANDS OFF. |
26 Mar 2005 - 15:21 HARLEE : I'd like to see 'chatter' stay exactly where it is!I see the benefit of the website and what it has done so far for the club and 'chatter' is a huge part of that. I choose what I read, if there is a volitile topic that has some harsh comments and replies I dont take them all seriously and I respect other peoples veiws and comments because I am an adult.... I would like to think that other users do too ! |
26 Mar 2005 - 13:01 JC - Andy Such : As a recent member I found the club through the web site. Banning chatter would be the thin end of the wedge. What next virtual ? |
26 Mar 2005 - 5:13 Hedgehog : I like talking bollox with me mates. Leave us alone. |
26 Mar 2005 - 3:49 Mike Tebbett : I rode around with the Sussex Coasters for a year before coming on to this site, I was directed here by our Regional Rep, then I finally paid up and joined the HDRCGB because I was having so much fun on here that I thought I ought to be paying someone something. :-/ ;) 8) I have met and made a lot of good friends on here, particularly in chatter. 8) 8) 8) |
26 Mar 2005 - 3:12 h.h. : The first time I came across the site was about 4 years ago? At that time it was just the bare bones of a boring site with not much happening in it at all. One can still see some of the old sites structure when looking at the classifieds. Since then the site has come on leaps and bounds, not only with more topics and a more openness all round but with people now knowing how to add animations/pics etc it has become entertaining and a downright laugh for LOTS of people. The site is getting enjoyable for EVERYBODY, lose chatter and those not too interested in tech related issues would do what? Chatter at times is a HDRCGB social service and its members deserve it. |
26 Mar 2005 - 2:18 Rikki Chamberlain : Chatter should stay exactly where it is as it is an integral part of the site and the most used area. Put a disclaimer in the heading i.e. ' The comments in Chatter do not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of HDRCGB' |
26 Mar 2005 - 1:57 Kerry Mersh ( Tango ) : Since all this nonsense about what can or can't be said on the web hardly anyone has written on the Coasters site. I am an adult and therefore old enough to make my own mind up and decide who and what I will write about |
26 Mar 2005 - 1:53 trev mersh : lighten up. this club should be about fun. chatting to your mates on the site is part of it, be it bolloxs or serious. theres space for both. |
26 Mar 2005 - 1:52 John Warner WW : Keep it please.I can make my own up about folk |
26 Mar 2005 - 1:35 Driffta (thats my web name incase you dont know ) : Leave the website alone. Thankyou in anticipation |
26 Mar 2005 - 0:33 Tracey Evans : Leave the chatter. There are by far many more positive reasons for it to remain than to remove it. Merely put a disclaimer over the area and continue to moderate accordingly. Tracey Evans (Mis-Chief) married to Chiefy and a regular reader of ALL areas of the site |
26 Mar 2005 - 0:01 Dave Brindal : We like chatter just where it is, thankyou. |
25 Mar 2005 - 23:39 Paul Meek : Like many before me I came to the club via the website which imho is by far the best HDBiking related site I've found and is a total credit to the club! Chatter is an integral part of this success and losing it would change the whole character of the site .... for the worse! |
