BD300 Broken after YouTube Firmware Update

In February of 2009, LG Electronics released a firmware update for their BD300 blu-ray player, which has prevented many owners from being able to play DVDs and blu-ray discs properly. Problems include constant skipping during playback, while some have lost the ability to playback movies altogether. It has been nearly three months since this now notorious firmware update has been released and we are still waiting for a fix. LG's response has been to require us to pay $70 to have the unit repaired for a problem they have created. This is simply unacceptable and LG should produce a fixed software update, or repair the BD300 units free-of-charge. I support this petition. Actually, I\'ve had to send my BD300 back before when the February update broke the player, and it appears that the new firmware update does the same as it just died. Is this how LG forces product upgrades? Well I\'ll never buy another LG product again, period!

I support this petition. I called LG today, and after an hour with the \"Executive Support Team\" I was told no one else is experiencing this. I have to drive 45 mins to bring it to a store for board replacement! Brutal.. never again LG. Worst customer service from any company I have ever dealt with!
