i wish to stop parents forcing children to do things that are considered angaist their will in the church. for instance i mainly target forcing children to be baptized and pray and go to church.

At age 7 I knew I could not believe in God. At 11 I had enough of Church and raised a public fit. It seemed to work for me and I no longer was forced to go. I grew up a taxpayer and dedicated college educated professional. I was fortunate my parents did not persist in forcing me to listen to sermans, which always seemed to depress me. Others are not so fortunate and are dragged to listen to that depressing talk through age 18!

completely agree. My parents try to force Roman Catholicism on me but i'm an atheist at heart. Hated going to a Catholic school for eight years.

I completely support this, i read somewhere that the bill of rights (I say this because of the first right, freedom of speech, press, and religion) is only protected outside of your household. Thats stupid, if the bill of rights isn't protected within your house, then anything written on the constitution should be voided as soon as you walk into your house. This is my personal opinion, so I don't want to be criticized for it.

forcing religion is a sin anyways. in mt. 19:19 it says love thy neighbor as thy self. so how do parents have the right to force

Same here, I too was raised to believe all who don't pray, etc. are pure evil...Until I, all on my own, discovered how silly it is to sit on your knees and expect things to happen for you(without your doing them). Religion is terrible! Everyone's gotta stop acting they're 100% right on the Bible!

Parents who force their religion on their children, whether its Atheism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, etc.... are depriving their children of their right as a human being to choose their own beliefs

My father is forcing me to go to Church every Sunday until I am 18, or I am not allowed to go and do things. I don't support throwing any religion on children, whether it's atheism, Christianity, Catholicism...etc. Allow your children to know that there are other beliefs out there, and they can explore them. It is sheer brainwashing, children are force fed these ideas, and sometimes it can be very traumatic for the child later on. Forcing any religion on a child isn't a good decision and should be avoided regardless of what you the parent believes.
