I have been writing to Chris at least twice a week for about 6 months now and I have grown to love not only him, but his family as well. Please keep this family in your prayers and pray that God will clear the way to bring Christopher home soon.

How can the prosecutors and the jury live with themselves with the decisions they have a made. To have kept Chris locked up for two years at the age of 12 and not try him until he was 14 is inexcusable. One does not have to be a rocket scientist to see the games the prosectutors played in waiting for him to get older and look older, making it easier for a bunch of dumb jurist to come to the decision that he was guilty. It is amazing that they could not understand the Dr.\'s error in prescribing the drug for a CHILD. Look at the money that was put into the drug company defending ( all for greed ) their product being prescribed for a once a again CHILD. A lot of so called educated ADULTS should be ashamed of themselves. I hope justice comes soon for Chris and for the rest of the persons responsible for this travisty of justice there will be no mercy for them at judgement time.

prescription drugs are dangerous and can cause unexpected adverse effects. if this CHILD had problems, he should have been helped instead of trialed.

Grown people in this country should be ashamed, the juvenile justice system are using the children of tomorrow to market them.

because you just can't change the chemicals in a person's mind and expect that person to have full control over their actions. What we need also is a petition to get Pittman's attorney barred from practicing law..First off, the attorney had more than a monetary interest in this case. Acting on the presumption that he didn't believe 12 jurors could find this kid guilty is the first warning sign, the fact that he was pursuing Pfizer in different lawsuits concerning Zoloft and other anti-depressants is another warning sign. Clearly this attorney should have taken the plea agreement offered by the JUDGE as a sign that he was leaning toward a lenient sentence for a reduced charge of manslaughter and could have possibly gotten either probation or 5 to 7 years, but this would have ruined the attorney's quest to win the case outright thereby securing a potential payoff from pfizer. If you don't think this attorney was thinking along those lines then you need to read through the lines.

I think it is ridiculous to try a 15 year old as an adult. You can't even vote until your 18. I live in Charleston Sc and went down and watched several days of this trial. I was shocked by the lack of comprehension and acceptance that a mind altering drug like Zoloft could have a major effect on someones behavior. We are all too ready to prescribe these drugs to anyone suffering from normal childhood emotions. Especially from children with family lives such as Christophers. Given the circumstances of his family life he needed counseling. We have to stop assuming that these drugs are harmless. I have seen first hand from family members that suffered clinical depression, that after taking an anti depressant they went into manic mode. They experienced very wild, and bizzare behavior. I truly hope that from this case something good will come out of it. For Christopher and others who have suffered due to the liberal hand of a doctor and his/her perscription pad.

I think it's rediculous that a 15 yr. old boy gets 30 years in prison for something that he first of all did when he was 12 yrs. old and second of all, he was on Zoloft, which is a non-approved psychoactive drug. To add to the unfortunate circumstances,he came from a non-loving, non-nurturing family. As aforementioned, these kids can't be just ignored and put in jail...they need our help!!
