How could you keep shows like the Bachelor on and take CIC off the air? Leave it to the executives to take an award winning show, move it around so that people have trouble finding it, then cancel it. Lets use some common sense and bring the show back.
It is an intelligent show that makes you think beyond who is going to end up with Travis. The show is great for showing young girls it is wonderful to be strong willed, intelligent and beautiful. They don't have to hide the fact they are smart. Plus you can only take so much reality tv. And even though the show is fiction, it does deal with real issues that sometime motivate people to make the effor to learn a little bit more about the issue, and could be an instrument to motivate people to consider learning more about the government that rules us. How can you cancel an emmy winning show?
Being Australian it might seem a little strange that I am campaigning for a show about American politics to be continued for another season. However, having the gift of perspective & not living in the little information / media bubble the current US administration has created, this show will hopefully allow American people to think for themselves & see that things can be done differently (& need to be!!). That, if nothing else, should be a reason to keep this show going.
I support this petition because Commander in Chief is a one of the best shows on television. ABC please reconsider bringing the show back in mid-season. Thank you!
If ABC would put it in a good time slot - like the current Wed eve at 10 here in NYC - the show would do well. It's well written and acted. Come on ABC.
This show is so cutting edge and opens so many doors in politics. Life imitates art. When we get used to a female president or at the very least an independent, we will finally have an effective commander in chief.
I love this show, just watched the 6/7/06 show. We need this show, it is full of hope, courage, and american pride. Geena is great and a wonderful hero for women in this show. We will have a woman president someday and this is good to educate old and young about it coming. Plus, it is just some great writing and acting. Please keep this show on TV.
This is the best show on TV.PLEASE keep it going. We just don't need another CSI or fact simily show on the tube. We lost West Wing...we NEED this show.
One of the best shows I have seen in a while. As a 20yr old and one who buys a tonn of dvds I want this show to have several season to buy. This show is so original and that is what makes it one of the best shows ive seen in a long time its not the some old same old we usually get.

I think Commander in Chief is an excellent commentary on U-S politics. It could be a means of educating as well as entertaining the viewer. And Geena Davis is excellent in the role! (And she's got a great supporting cast.) I don't always agree with what she does or says, but that proves my point -- the show makes people think while entertaining! I do think some action, overt not just implied, would make the program even better. I'd like to see the election results!
