I was never much of a comic book fan. I enjoyed the occasional superhero movie such as the Superman films as well as the Batman films but that was the extent of my "fan" devotion to these DC iconic characters. Until one day five years ago a television show about Superman's younger years caught my attention and my "fan" status forever changed. I was hooked on this refreshing tale of Clark Kent's youth in Smallville, his interaction with his parents the Kents, his friends, his later to be nemesis (Lex Luthor), and more importantly Clark's interaction with Lana Lang.
I became fascinated with Clark and Lana's story... a story that explored the trials and tribulations of young love and not just any ordinary young love but that of one of the most famous superheroes of our time! A story that had never really been explored in such a way...
I don't necessarily want to change any comic conon but I do want to thank the producers, DC Comics, the actors, and everyone else involved for creating such a wonderful and refreshing take on the Superman story...and especially for bringing to life Clark and Lana.

Clark and Lana's love for eachother is truly heartfelt, beautiful and unconditional. They both bring out the best in eachother. Lana is clarks link to humanity, which make this story so wonderful. tom and kristin made us believe a hero could fall in love!! GO CLANA!

What an absolutely fantastic show Samllville has been! I love the action, the Superman hero Clark is becoming (thanks Tom!), the deep characters in Lex and Lionel (thanks Michael and John), and Smallville's forever princess and sweetheart Lana (go Kristin!). Love Chloe and Martha too!
As far as Clark and Lana, I am 1000% for it! It's a whole new world of Superman and the writers, directors and DC Comics should be applauded for having picked the best duo to represent!!!!!

I love to watch this show, and 1 reason is because of Clana.... It seems that they are still in love with each other and they don't wanna let go,I don't want them to either. I am emotionally entwined with this show and have been up and down with Clark, I am hurt badly when he is and am so happy when he is. Like the headline says, it's better if they create a new superman universe. Smallville has changed a lot of things. Then why not to make Clark end up with Lana instead of Lois? If you're gonna change things, change things completely!
I hate Clana. For the love of God and all that is holy, don't bring it back. It's been six years and it's just making Clark look like a pathetic, lovesick sap who isn't worthy of becoming Superman. This relatioinship has been so overplayed, not to mention Lana has virtually no personality; the majority of fans can't stand her. Sure, maybe over 2,500 fans have signed this, but considering the show gets about 5 million viewers a week, that's not very many. Oh, and for the people who say they have chemistry... They have absolutely no chemistry unless that's what you consider the smoldering fires of a trainwreck. Clark needs to stop pining over her and realize that SHE'S MARRIED TO LEX. The two of them getting together now would look ridiculously trashy. Most fans want Chlark or Clois. I have to say that I'm a Chlarker above all else, but Clois is certainly preferable to the dreaded Clana. Honestly, it makes me want to vomit when I see it on the screen. Why do I keep watching this show? Because with every episode I hope it will redeem itself. So far I have been out of luck. But maybe if the writers and producers (emphasis on producers who for some reason are madly in love with Lana) would give the majority of fans what they want, their ratings would go up. Seriously, it's been six years of a Clana roller coaster. What's really funny is that people still support this 'ship. Please, please end it... Clana was practically the greatest thing that ever happened to me I've been watching Smallville since Season 1 and it seems like that Alicia girl had more of a relationship with Clark than Lana ever did. 3 clana episodes to begin season 5 is the best you guys could muster? I wasnt a fan of the show until I witnessed one of the episodes spotlighting Lana and Clarks relationship. In many ways, it reflects my own bond with a girl I knew growing up. It so closely resembled it in fact that by watching Smallville, I somehow felt closer to the girl I once knew. It was through witnessing their struggles and overcoming their differences that I realized that love can survive anything. It actually prompted me to call this girl after like 6 years and we still stay in close contact. In fact, I actually got her into watching Smallville now, and we discuss Lana and Clarks relationship regularly. Theres enough sadness in this world already. A lot of people, myself included, look to places like Smallville where theres still hope. I hope that Lana and Clark end up together. I feel emotionally invested in this show like a lot of fans. weve stood by and watched whats become of their relationship, and its painful to see. They have something unexplained, a chemistry that brings others together. people want to know that theres still hope for them, that they can end up together. I pray for their future. I pray for a world that still believes in happy endings. Smallvilles a part of everyone, and if Clana dies, a part of us dies with it.
Clark/Lana have the most Romantic Romanace ever to hit any Television series ever. It's in the chemistry, this is the reason I started to watch smallville, without there romance, I have no reason to watch. So Please Same Clark/Lana.
I know that following the comics at the end, is Clark and Lois, but they've already changed many things in Smallville (like Chloe existing,Pete...), they could (and should) change this also and put Clark and Lana together at Smallville's end (from now till then)...
