Clark and Lana have shown that the myth is more than just a fancy pair of longunderwear. Or that Superman's whole reason for being is to act as the genie-in-the-bottle for a group in Metropolis who only see him as their savior. Clark and Lana have shown that the hero's journey is one of sacrifice and lost, but also our very humanity. It is time this hero succeeded in his quest and got the woman who really is right for him in the end.
