The vast majority of the fans, myself included, want Clark and Lana together, and if your writers tell you that Clark and Lana as a couple would be boring, you need new writers.
I really would like to be able to have Clark reveal his secret to Lana -- that episode was so great in the beginning and such a let down at the end when things changed. I really don't like the Lois character. Besides, she shouldn't have come in until Clark went to the Daily Planet.

Lana is the woman who has always loved Clark for who he is. Never because of him being Superman. That was the flaw of Lois, she went after the celebrity superhero that was just a clever cover created by Clark (show your face and nobody will look elswhere for you; think about it). Lana fell in love with Clark the man inside. He deserves the woman who loves HIM.
