The manipulation of Clark and Lana has been unrealistic. They are the heart of the show and drive viewers to continue watcing. Their love is pure and, even with their problems, their relationship should not be bounced around and manipulated by the writers. The ending should be bittersweet: even if Clark and Lana aren't together in the future, they should at least be together (especially against Lex).
