It's shameful, the number of single parents, primarily fathers, who do not pay their child support. It is our belief these responsibility shirking individuals, may become more motivated if and when their delinquent child support payments were deducted from their social security benefits.

The idea that they may reach social security qualifying benefit age and have zero funds available due to child support collection, may motivate these deadbeat people to support their children, therefore reducing the tax payers responsibility to take care of those whom are not able to take care of themselves and their children.

Why should these children go without? Why should they be forced to live in a poverty environment?
Why should the children of deadbeat parents suffer the emotional turmoil of knowing that one of your parents cares so little about you that they aren't even concerned about your basic needs?

Additionally, such and action would decrease the poverty statistics for single parents head of household therefore affecting our federal budget for programs such as Welfare.
