23 Jan 2007 - 8:59    Marvin A. Mottet :
28 Jan 2007 - 2:45    Angela Beaver : AI, I have been involved in your efforts in college to advocate to those seeking help throughout the world for basic human rights. Please reconsider your position on abortion as a human right and acknowledge the scientific evidence proving the humanity of a an pre-born baby growing and living in the womb. Thank you!
29 Jan 2007 - 2:27    Nadine Wu : I have been involved with Amnesty International since 2000 as a member, student group leader, and an intern. Please do not do this. Abortion is inconsistent with human rights.
31 Jan 2007 - 23:35    Tom Carney : Many, many supporters of Amnesty International believe abortion is unethical. Please don't force me to cease my support for AI by adopting a pro-abortion position.
3 Feb 2007 - 2:43    Debby Wakeham : I am a member of Amnesty International. I am a secular feminist consistent life person. I did not join Amnesty to further my pro-preborn life agenda; I joined to help prisoners of conscience and work against capital punishment of born people. Abortion is a violation of the right to life. Amnesty should remain neutral allowing everyone to work harmoniously on its remit. If it goes pro-abortion, it will change beyond recognition, to the point where even Peter Benenson, its founder, might not feel welcome should be be alive today.
6 Feb 2007 - 22:18    Mary Strychalski :
7 Feb 2007 - 13:45    John Hart : Defining a class of human children that can be killed is evil, don't let AI be destroyed by those that do.
8 Feb 2007 - 4:43    Catherine Wahnsiedler : Since the Gulf War, I have been a contributor to Amnesty International. A woman of conscience could not reasonably contribute to an entity that advocates violence, in any form, against the unborn, which also inevitably degrades women, oftentimes at the manipulation of a man, and in 3rd world countries, has historically meant the termination of female pre-born babies (India and China).
8 Feb 2007 - 9:56    Susan M Schneider : All life should be defended, especially, the growing in the womb human boy/girl. Who else will defend the new life if not those who seek amnesty for those in danger of losing that life. The very first right is, of course, Life for all on this planet. If you do not stand for something you will fall for anything. I am a great granny and those dear ones are such a delight. How can anyone snuff that life out for any reason? Save the humans, please.
9 Feb 2007 - 17:57    Peter Davidson : The UN Declaration on the Rights of the Child states quite clearly that the child needs special protection "before as well as after birth". What could be clearer than that? How could AI violate the very Charter to which it owes its inspiration? The declared intention of those pushing for this change is to punish those who refuse to co-operate in the killing of innocent unborn human beings. AI would then have its very own category of prisoners of conscience to persecute. I find this absolutely unbelieveable.
9 Feb 2007 - 19:12    Jennifer McDevitt : I have donated to AI for years because you do such crucial work in protecting human rights. Please do not turn your backs on the youngest, most vulnerable human beings by declaring a "right" to murder them through abortion.
9 Feb 2007 - 20:20    Mary Bartko : I support a pro-life stance against abortion of any kind.
11 Feb 2007 - 4:48    Thomas Friedl : I am a parliamentary assistant of a member of Germany's federal parliament (Deutscher Bundestag), who serves as a vice-member of the human rights committee. Over the past many years I have prepared many letters in support of AI "urgent actions" for my boss. We did this in full trust of AI's good intentions, and we fully have supported these. But we would not be able to continue our supportive work if AI decided that abortion were a "human right". We want to promote human rights, for each and every human being. We will not support exclusion of unborn humans from human rights. AI has always been a human rights ally for us. We would very much regret, if we had to split with them.
11 Feb 2007 - 6:47    Sandra Kucharski : I have supported AI financially in the past, but found it difficult to continue based on AI's abortion stance. All life is precious, even that of the unborn, no matter how they are conceived.
11 Feb 2007 - 9:46    Elizabeth A. Curtis :
11 Feb 2007 - 11:11    Mary T. Dobson : I have admired AI in the past, but I am afraid I will have to start mentioning it with caution if this proceeds!
12 Feb 2007 - 13:13    Diana J. Eckholdt :
12 Feb 2007 - 17:22    Sebastian Grundberger : Estimados amigos. Desde mucho tiempo estoy activo en la lucha para los derechos humanos. Muchas veces también he apoyado a Amnesty.
13 Feb 2007 - 5:49    Marianna Trzeciak, Esq : I used to write letters for AI at the Quaker Meeting Hall in Haddonfield, NJ; but I can't be involved with AI anymore, because it is taking the WRONG position on abortion.
13 Feb 2007 - 18:18    Jana Carpenter : One can never support an organization that promotes death for innocent children.
13 Feb 2007 - 21:36    Kim Hessels :
13 Feb 2007 - 22:52    Stephanie Barry :
14 Feb 2007 - 0:37    Nancy L K Flanders :
14 Feb 2007 - 21:41    Barb Harburg : I am disappointed that Amnesty International does not see abortion as a violence to a woman. It creates more problems than it solves.
14 Feb 2007 - 21:50    Robert W. Whitaker : It would be a tragic mistake for AI to take a position which would destroy its credibility among many persons of good will.
14 Feb 2007 - 22:12    Kathryn Anthony :
15 Feb 2007 - 7:51    Georgette Cebrario : I will not continue to support a group who does not support ALL LIFE
15 Feb 2007 - 8:20    Kathleen Richard :
15 Feb 2007 - 10:27    H McCamley : I withdraw all my support for Amnesty International and will never use their literature again in my classes or with my children.
15 Feb 2007 - 14:31    Robert Wnorowski : It is very disappointing to see a human rights group that has fought for life, now turn against life for the most innocent--the unborn.
15 Feb 2007 - 14:39    Raymond A. Noble : As NJ's former Deputy Atty General for Civil Rights, a law school professor and law reform advisor onsite in the West Bank and Gaza at the request of the ABA, I have supported Amnesty International's past actions in defense of life and the furtherance of justice. Declaring abortion to be a human right would be a partisan stance, not a principaled one. Amnesty International's future effectiveness would be gravely and permanently diminished by such action.
15 Feb 2007 - 15:40    Catherine Douglas : I have contributed money to Amnesty International but am very disappointed that they do not recognize abortion as destruction of innocent life.
15 Feb 2007 - 17:18    Ramon Boza MD : During years I have been very proud, followed closely and financiall supported the efforts of Amnestry Intenational to save lives among the very poor. I'm a Faculty Assoc Professor at University of Miami and must tell I'm pretty disappointed of your considering abortion as a measure in behalf of them. I will cease to contribute, support, and will ask my family, friends and colleages to do so as well if this pro-abortion measure materializes. Sincerely
15 Feb 2007 - 19:32    Kris : I have always greatly admired AI, have geven numerous financial contributions, and was a member of a group for a time. But now I cannot in good conscience support AI because of the position of abortion. Abortion oppresses women, it doesn't liberate them, and I liked AI because securing liberty for captives was their main purpose. Unborn children are captives, and it is oppressive systems that make abortion thinkable. Women deserve better.
15 Feb 2007 - 21:27    Frank H. Matticola :
15 Feb 2007 - 22:29    Fr Gerald Buss :
15 Feb 2007 - 23:24    Barb Sciberras : I was a monthly supporter, but have not been for some time due to AI's stand on abortion. It is unfortunate that a human rights organization will not stand up for the most basic human right - the right to life for ALL people.
15 Feb 2007 - 23:54    kathleen yeadon : We have to keep other countries from having to suffer our terrible crimes toward humanity!
15 Feb 2007 - 23:57    Wesley Wilson : I appreciate the work of Amnesty International in helping people imprisoned for their faith and have acted along with you on those projects, but I cannot support any organization that acts against innocent human life.
16 Feb 2007 - 1:36    Shona & Kevin O'Brien : As parents of 7 children we value life not just ours but others also. And not just those of us who have been born into this world but those who are in the womb regardless of how they were conceived (rape). A.I. please change your policy. This is a crime against humanity.
16 Feb 2007 - 6:30    Emil R. Wolanski :
16 Feb 2007 - 7:35    Kay Palinski : I have long been an admirer of AI and hope it's seemless defense of human life and wholehartedly encourage it to continue. Our punishment of rapists cannot be compared with the havoc of abortion on an innocent pre-natal life nor can the violence of abortion heal the victem of rape; it is an escape for a perpetrator of an incestuous pregnancy. Abortion is a violent act upon women and the life in utero...an indignity which must be addressed in far more compassionate terms than abortion.
16 Feb 2007 - 12:10    R Godin :
16 Feb 2007 - 22:11    Lesley Young :
17 Feb 2007 - 1:54    David Brockman :
17 Feb 2007 - 4:44    Thomas D. Adams : I have been a faithful supporter of Amnesty International since 1987. I completely oppose any attempt by AI to promote abortion in any form. It is a violation, not support, of human rights and a violation of the UN Declaration of the Rights of the Child. I will cease any and all support of AI if they begin to change...and support abortion. It is with a very heavy heart that I hear of this development, as AI has always been a cause close to my heart and conscience.
17 Feb 2007 - 5:15    james conneely :
17 Feb 2007 - 5:58    Donald Beck : Women's rights are too important to be linked to abortion on demand. I believe, ironically, that past efforts in the UN by former Colorado Senator Timothy Wirth and President of the UN Foundation to promote abortion on demand has contributed to the Muslim World's hatred of, and jihad against, the Judeo-Christian West.
17 Feb 2007 - 6:33    nancy jantzen :
