25 Jul 2006 - 21:48    Charlotte Geeraert :
25 Jul 2006 - 22:03    Linda Naranjo-Huebl : Abortion is not a right; it is a tragic symptom of our failure to value and protect the lives of women and children. AI, don't lose me now!
25 Jul 2006 - 22:10    jim kelly : I have supported AI for all my adult life; I cannot remain if it views legal abortion as a human right, rather than a moral tragedy, for mother and unborn.
25 Jul 2006 - 22:24    James G. Hanink : Worst of all is the corruption of the best. Let there be amnesty for the unborn.
25 Jul 2006 - 22:30    Patricia Reason :
25 Jul 2006 - 22:41    George Gilbert : I have always thought that Amnesty International was apolitical, and yet, with this proposed endorsement of so-called abortion rights, Amnesty International will be slipping into the mire of the worst kind of politics imaginable -- the kind that imposes death upon another human being. Don't do it.
25 Jul 2006 - 22:49    Julianne Wiley : I have participated in Amnesty International campaigns for 30 years. If AI goes the route of aabortion advocacy, it will lose the universal respect and influence it now enjoys, and sink into partisan irrelevancy. This would be a HUGE LOSS for human rights, for conscience, and for the suffering and oppressed people of world.
25 Jul 2006 - 23:01    Paul Laughlin : I cannot understand why an organisation that has achieved so much good is blind to the rights of the unborn.
25 Jul 2006 - 23:06    Laura Ternan :
25 Jul 2006 - 23:57    Joan Munson :
26 Jul 2006 - 0:41    Joan shalapin :
26 Jul 2006 - 1:03    Terri West : I support this petition.
26 Jul 2006 - 1:07    Talia Pettini : because I believe that AI does important work in this world preserving the basic fundamental right to life of all human beings, and this new policy would compromise that position.
26 Jul 2006 - 1:45    Alicia Drone : With the erosion of respect for live in many areas, it is absolutely necessary to take an uncompromised stand for life.
26 Jul 2006 - 1:59    Carol Nan Crossed :
26 Jul 2006 - 2:36    Maureen Doyle :
26 Jul 2006 - 2:59    Richard Ambrose : It is deeply disappointing to learn that AI would take such a position. Unless we are consistent in promoting human rights, we cannot be credible.
26 Jul 2006 - 3:36    Patricia A. McLeese , Ph.D. :
26 Jul 2006 - 3:42    Philip Pennance : My reply to AI: Dear Ms. Ross, Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, your explanation only fuels my conviction that this issue will embroil Amnesty in controversy lasting into the infinite future and at the expense of human rights generally. Regretably, the A.I. position expressed in your letter does not even mention the rights of the child. According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Convention on the Rights of the Child '...the child, by reason of his physical and mental immaturity, needs special safeguards and care, including appropriate legal protection, before as well as after birth.' Human rights are determined by natural law, not by a vote by some subset of A.I. members. Children have rights independently of any decision by A.I supporters. The A.I. position contradicts its own charter and puts it at odds with the majority on this planet who see clearly that abortion is infanticide. I sincerely hope that A.I. will reconsider its position on this issue. Yours Sincerely Dr. Philip Pennance
26 Jul 2006 - 3:43    Robert T Kaiser, Ph.D. :
26 Jul 2006 - 3:46    Test Test :
26 Jul 2006 - 5:38    Christopher Dodson : I support this petition because if it supports abortion rights, AI will lose its credibility and soul.
26 Jul 2006 - 6:36    Anne C. Beach :
26 Jul 2006 - 6:55    Young Samuel :
26 Jul 2006 - 7:19    Albert Fecko :
26 Jul 2006 - 7:38    Michael J. Brembs : I support this petition. I am Gay Socialist who is Pro life. Do not make Abortion a Human Right! If that happens the Death Penalty and any other civil wrong can become a Human Right.
26 Jul 2006 - 7:51    David George : Amnesty International is in the business of preventing humans from being killed or exploited. It should remember that abortion kills children and exploits women. Feminists and others say abortion is liberation, but the loss of a child is a major blow in all parts of the undeveloped world. I know because I have worked in Africa.
26 Jul 2006 - 8:43    Mark Dominesey : AI has no business denying amnesty to any member of the human race. By considering to allow abortion, they are denying amnesty to the most vulnerable humans.
