26 Jul 2006 - 21:09    Ken Koonce : I would have to seriously reconsider my support of AI were it to take this position.
26 Jul 2006 - 23:11    Michelle Rose : abortion kills a child
26 Jul 2006 - 23:19    Peter A. Samuelson :
27 Jul 2006 - 0:33    Steve Barrett : Having been a churchworker in Central America during all of the very turbulent 1980s, I have always admired AI's defense of the defenseless. I find the position they are adopting on abortion disturbing and contradictory to what I had assumed was a defense of life in all situations.
27 Jul 2006 - 0:54    William P. Keenan : Please don't undermine the good work of AI by taking this misguided pro-abortion stance.
27 Jul 2006 - 0:58    Patricia Francis-Lyon : Just as I write letters for Amnesty campaigns opposing violence against political prisoners, I now write to oppose making the killing of unborn children a "right".
27 Jul 2006 - 1:22    Lou Koenig :
27 Jul 2006 - 1:23    Dave Lowitzki :
27 Jul 2006 - 1:26    Brian MB Keaney : I support this petition as a Democrat, a Harvard Graduate student studying government, and as someone who supports and has volunteered my time for Amnesty International.
27 Jul 2006 - 1:28    James Michael Trageser : AI should not be in the business of helping to perpetuate violence.
27 Jul 2006 - 1:30    Kenneth K Maher : I have responded to AI requests for letters both to prisoners and on their behalf, and the work against the death penalty is dear to my heart. My car sports an AI decal, and I have frequently decorated envelopes with the extras I have received. Supporting prisoners is not pro-choice; it is pro-life. Although I would continue to support prisoners and work against the death penalty, I could no longer support AI if it abandoned its neutrality on the abortion issue.
27 Jul 2006 - 1:36    Gary Daynes :
27 Jul 2006 - 1:38    Eva Ritchey :
27 Jul 2006 - 1:48    nora wheeler : I cannot support the actions of AI if it stands up for the rights of prisoners but not of unborn babies. ALL humans deserve human rights.
27 Jul 2006 - 2:09    Trey Mobley : I want AI to maintain a credible and consistent witness for the dignity of the human person. I wish to continue to support AI in good conscience.
27 Jul 2006 - 2:26    Justin A. Falciani :
27 Jul 2006 - 2:29    Deane Anderson :
27 Jul 2006 - 3:04    Max Christian Hansen :
27 Jul 2006 - 4:00    Margaret Smerbeck :
27 Jul 2006 - 4:10    Dennis R. M. Teall-Fleming :
27 Jul 2006 - 4:14    Edith Black :
27 Jul 2006 - 5:18    Lynn Lewandowski : As having worked with Bread for the World issues and other anti-capital punishment issues I do support this petition.
27 Jul 2006 - 5:56    Kelly Brunacini : A pro-abortion philosophy adopted by AI would make a mockery out of human rights. A big mistake!
27 Jul 2006 - 6:09    Anne Berry :
27 Jul 2006 - 6:42    Walker Brown : The history of the movement for human rights involves the struggle to progressively broaden of our understanding of what it means to be human. Women, children, other races and nationalities, enemy soldiers, condemned criminals have all gradually over time been acknowledged as human and granted rights. The fight to recognize the humanity of an unborn child is a current front line of that continuing struggle.
27 Jul 2006 - 6:53    Daniel Murphy : I have been a long time financial supporter of A.I. I would have difficulty continuing as such if this move on abortion goes through D.P.M.
27 Jul 2006 - 6:59    Stephan Melancon : I have been a member of AI for many years and a monthly contributor to the Prisoners of Conscience program. I will, of course, discontinue all contributions and encourage my family and friends to do likewise should Amnesty make this PC move in support of abortion "rights." Consistency demands respect for the unborn.
27 Jul 2006 - 7:37    Joseph Parlett : Of all human rights existence is the most basic.
27 Jul 2006 - 7:59    Cayce Utley :
27 Jul 2006 - 8:31    roland meinert : I support this petition
27 Jul 2006 - 10:05    Kathleen Peters : I cannot believe an organization as reputable as AI would even think of taking the life of a human being who is trapped in his/her mother's womb.
27 Jul 2006 - 11:22    Ward Ricker :
27 Jul 2006 - 16:03    Don Peters : I've been a member of both the Geneva and Ithaca AI chapters in the past. AI must never turn its back on the innocent preborn child. The candle must never be extinguished.
27 Jul 2006 - 18:24    shelley M. Douglass : I realize that abortion is a disputed issue; for that reason I think AI's neutral stance is the best possibility. It is important in this age of repression not to lose supporters and/or clarity. I believe that as time passes we will come to understand the violence of abortion, and I know that I cannot support a group working for abortion as a right!
27 Jul 2006 - 19:09    Dale Wisely : AI needs to return to a focus on treatment of the incarcerated.
27 Jul 2006 - 19:33    Faith Johnston :
27 Jul 2006 - 20:12    Patricia Krommer : I am saddened by AI's position change regarding abortion. Please reconsider.
27 Jul 2006 - 20:19    Stephen Stanley : I value AI's public stands and its tremendous work to foster greater awareness of global injustice. We all benefit. Please continue to stand up for life.
27 Jul 2006 - 21:01    robert beasley, jr. :
27 Jul 2006 - 21:34    Michael Nacrelli :
27 Jul 2006 - 21:55    Florence Scarinci : Peace begins in the womb
27 Jul 2006 - 22:37    Rev. Robert Ring :
27 Jul 2006 - 22:47    Samantha Zech :
27 Jul 2006 - 23:03    Jessica Rudmin :
27 Jul 2006 - 23:28    Cindy Bankston :
27 Jul 2006 - 23:30    Gary D. Pierce :
27 Jul 2006 - 23:42    Katie Robinson : the moral test of any society is the way it treats its most vulenerable members. I will not be able to offer any support to an organization that has decided that the weakest human beings are disposable.
28 Jul 2006 - 0:14    Lila Martinez : AI should always stand for the protection of human life, whether it is pre-born or not. To do otherwise causes AI to loose its credibility to millions of supporters.
28 Jul 2006 - 0:59    Greg Wetterau :
28 Jul 2006 - 3:53    John Hayes :
